    At seventy nine I’m done with trying to make the world a better place when all the young people are causing wars and generally f””king the works up with all there woke. I was using loads of ptfe in the military rewiring electronics and I haven’t had any side effects, is it not inert? Who says it’s going to kill us all? I’m going to use it waxing my bike chains as I have forever. It just plain works. If you feel the need to touch your chain up go to your hardware store and buy a can of PTFE spray. It works a treat. I use it for a number of things that need lubing, door locks for example.

    So to find "your" seat. Would it be worthwhile buying a few different shapes etc from AliExpress, it $15 - $20 design knockoffs. Then when you find the preferred fit, step up to a better 3D quality? Otherwise in Australia, you could never afford to find your fit.

  • @stevenleffanue

    Hi Oz Cycles, I have tried calibrating this eds and its not easy, i have contacted wheeltop for troubleshoot manuel and they will be in touch so far easy to install and the app is easy aswell but the fine tunning does nothing , really pissed with this electronic group set so far i have a 10sp gravel with shimano gears , eventually i will figure it out but frustrating at the same time, my fine tune only allows me one digit at a time not like yours in larger increment's. i will call bike shop if they use wheeltop app ajustment. their are things that dont add up from your video.

  • @stevenleffanue
    @stevenleffanue5 күн бұрын

    You can type in the increment number too. Once you enter a new number, shift up or down at least 1 sprocket then back to the one you altered and you should find it has moved to the new number.

    He goes from gasoline to "degreaser" (citrus degreaser,or what?), a water rinse,then to alcohol. methylated spirits is denatured alcohol,and that will absorb and "remove" water. (I like to use 91% isopropyl alcohol) OTOH,I'm very leery of using gasoline (petrol) as a cleaning solvent. the vapors are hazardous, and very easily ignited,even explosive. Kerosene (paraffin oil) might be a safer first solvent. or mineral spirits. Kerosene will leave a waxy film,but the degreaser should remove that.

    Does anybody know of strain gauge metres existing in cranks to determine how circular your pedal motion is? I.e. perpendicular to the crank movement at all points of rotation. This has been an obsessive pondering of mine..

    I'm old school, with cables that would stick out the top of the levers, and then hidden brake cables, then hidden brifter cables. It wasn't until recently I started seeing these integrated frames/bars/headsets and wondered how they all go together. Now I know and could do it myself. It is a lot easier than I'd have thought. With wireless shifting it'll be even easier. Cables always were a mess on bikes no matter how they were routed and looked to be an afterthought.

    So, I followed the process for waxing the chain with PTFE powder, and it was a lot easier than I thought it would be. However, my chain immediately started rusting and no, I didn't get the chain wet. So, do you have to dip the chain multiple times. it looked pretty well coated, so not sure why rust started developing. thanks! -Dan

  • @BigDanDCNation

  • @BigDanDCNation
    @BigDanDCNation3 күн бұрын

    @nordictenor you should come to the Southern US so we can compare humidity! 😆 ... ok, must be the chain. That sounds like the consensus. I used a KMC narrow-wide chain for 1X - Kindernay IGH setup. I'll switch it out with a stainless steel Shimano.

    just a FYI,but paraffin oil is kerosene,and it contains a small amount of paraffin wax. mechanics use kerosene to clean their tools because it leaves a waxy film that prevents rust. BTW,WD-40 is mostly dewaxed kerosene. (I checked the MSDS) so no lubricating film after the volatiles evaporate. Paraffin is a byproduct of petroleum refining.
