    Wasn’t expecting such nice garage-rock chimy but rude tones on clean. Plus as expected it does heavy well, with extra character and gnarliness. Some Vs are a little too smooth on distortion, but this one’s got a more rock & roll rebellious Grandmaw-offending ruder sort of sound. I’m guessing the pups are the more classic PAF type instead of the high output types which sound more sterile and flat. I like it.

    @@cageparkinsguitar I am looking forward to your next video on this bad boy when you upgrade the pickups! • @cageparkinsguitar

    EMG were cleaner and more articulate in the lead portion. Why would he install an EMG passive pick-ups. The EMG actives with 9 volt battery like the 81 and 85 have a 15 watt pre amp in them and are way more dynamic and have way more gain to them... That's what Zakk Wylde uses and I have them set up in my Gibson Les Paul studio and they are amazing!!!

    You do realize that gear developers gift their toys to big name artists so people will buy them just because that artist uses them? It's a brilliant marketing gimmic that so many unsuspecting consumers fall for every day. It's not just musical gear industry neither. It is also apparent in the fitness, audio software, and just about any other industry that panders to artists and their fans. Trust me, the average listener could care less what pickups you have and only care if it sounds good or not.

  • @cageparkinsguitar
    @cageparkinsguitar6 ай бұрын

    @@kiillabytezWho cares if companies use artists to market? The pickups have a direct effect on the playing experience of the guitar for the player. Pickups make a huge difference in where the guitar sits in a mix, they are the first component to interact with the strings and create the initial EQ. So even if grandma can’t hear the difference the dude/ chick playing the guitar will hear and feel it

    @@joshualinklater4073 So here's what I understand. Bow=Relief. Hump=BackBow. Turn to the right reduces the amount of Bow=Relief. Turn too far to the right and you will introduce Hump=BackBow. The direction "Right' is regardless of the access point ( Sound Hole, or Neck ) I hope I got this now. Cheers
