This video demonstrates some of the detailing techniques I use to make guitars and basses shine like new and feel smooth and clean before setups. I set up the bass for myself to play with a pick. I am a guitar player but I love playing a bit of bass when I can. This setup really got the mojo flowing with this axe! I sat down to play it a little to test the setup and next thing I knew I was tracking guitars over a groove that made me move.
I am playing the Ibanez SR305 through an Orange Rocker Terror guitar amp into a Crate Blue Voodoo 4x12. This is the amp rig used for all electric guitar tracks on this song as well. I used a Dean Cadillac select for the rhythm fuzz guitars, modded Ibanez JS100 for stereo lead part, and a Charvel CX290 for the main electric leads. For acoustics I used a Martin X series something with baritone strings and tuning on the main rhythms and JOM 3/4 nylon string guitar for the lead acoustics. The drums and synth are Studio One loops.
