    To remove the mainspring pin i use a small curved o-ring pick. I hook the sping and pin together with the pick at about about 10 o'clock. Lift out the notches, rotate to where it'll fit and lower it into the magwell. Oreintated rails down and the backstrap facing away from yourself. Ive found it to be much easier than pliers.

    I'm glad these aren't designed like the EZ models. I still think they're still overcomplicated and poorly designed though. I never realized just how hard and strong hardened steel can be until I saw the sears on the Taurus PT-111/140 and G2, G3 models. They look paper thin, but there's very hard and strong. I think they're actually machined that thin too and aren't sheet metal. I know the GX4 one is at least and it's just as solid. (Has been a while since I worked on a PT-111, PT-140 or G2/G3 model.)

    Outstanding video! I think this is the best of the ones I looked through. I found a very easy way to install the seer- just work from the right side instead of the left- seer first, then spring. I found it purely by accident and laziness because I hadn't removed the bolt release lever so I couldn't do it from the left side since the hole was blocked!

    Follow up on my Bersa Thunderer .22LR. Your video was tremendous help. I did tear it down and removed one coil off the hammer spring. Putting it together assembling the auto safety/hammer release cam/ejector and hammer was a BEAR. Ended up making two aluminum pins, one to temporarily hold the right side, the other to align the left side to start the hammer pin and they made it a lot easier. Yep, I did LOOSE the E-Clip that holds that washer on the hammer pin but was able to get one locally at a hardware store. I seen all the videos on this subject, yours is the MOST detailed. The job is complete, thanks.

    It can be a little frustrating to take apart and put together some of the parts. Mostly, don't fight it, go with it, a little gentle manipulaion and parts (like the op rod) come off withput much effort. It is made to be field stripped and lubricated. The necessary parts fit in the butt stock compartment. Thanks for the vid

    I have a Bersa Thunderer .22LR which is basically the same in construction as the .380. I've had problems with fail to feed/eject a LOT since I bought it. I bought a reduced slide spring which did help to an extent. After about 30 rounds (getting dirty), it becomes less reliable FTF/FTE. I've done MANY spring kit installations on double action revolvers and it really helped by putting reduced hammer springs in but you can't go to light which will cause a "light hit" FTF. As stated in this video, the hammer spring is VERY high pressure. I think if I reduce the hammer spring by one or two coils, my problem will be solved and it will cycle properly. Gun manufacturers have a tendency to OVER POWER trigger and hammer springs for "legal reasons" which in turn may render the firearm UNRELIABLE during a critical situation. Just my experience.

    Thanks for this video. I was doing a conservation on my PPK and had a devil of a time getting the trigger/trigger link back in place. I would strongly suggest doing this before you put the safety and trigger guard back on. Makes it much easier.

    Well all I wanted to see was disassemble and reassemble but the videos taking too long and sliding the bar across you missed too much You're describing how the gun works to all the idiots that don't know how a gun works. So actually your video is long disassembly with explaining how the gun operates along with reassembling how they going operates okay. No I'm just impatient that's all Don't care about how the gun works I just want to know how easy and how hard it is to take the damn thing apart.

    Very unusual design. I like it. I've always liked seeing new/different mechanisms. Not many modern companies come out with entirely new designs... and even if they come out with some new, different guns, they almost always use very common designs/mechanisms. I know it has a simple rotating sear and disconnector like most other handguns, but it definitely works a little different than any other designs I've seen (except the Savage Stance, which is pretty much the identical gun).

  • @deucedeuce1572
    @deucedeuce1572Ай бұрын

    I really like the simple design of these. I wish SIG would have considered not making their FCU so ridiculously and unnecessarily complicated. I don't know how they went from the P320 to the P365 with them being so very similar, yet so very different at the same time. I know there are pros and cons with both designs and many would consider the P365 a better gun... but I think the design is ridiculous. It's is both a good and a bad design in my opinion.

    Definitely appreciate this video I hit a little snag as well seeing as how honor defense in general was only around for a handful of years and the honor guard is the only thing they made it's really difficult to find anything about it. Fun fact though you did miss one piece which unless purchased in the original box most people don't know exists but there is a back plate on the back of the grip they can be interchanged between a small one and a large one to accommodate bigger and smaller hands I purchased mine new in the box and was pretty impressed by that little detail they threw in

    Just got a commander rowl hammer. Went to install it and the sear and hammer didn't match. The old one has a larger notch. Just hate the sharp hammer that ends in a chisel point. It's forged so I'm wondering about having it cut and welded. Or maybe wondering if a new sear would fit an old W.German. I like the P220 more than the 1911

    For anyone having trouble with installing the mainspring housing Assy watch this video @ 1:24 - l:28 And if you're still having trouble like I did, watch it again. Why you may ask. Because Armorer Dan explains it perfectly, so watch it again until you get it. This handgun has a reputation for being one of the most loved 2 2 's made but they got an F when it comes to manufacturing the mainspring assembly everyone has trouble with reassembly it seems when they first purchase this one. I love my 22/45 Mk III with the exception of the non removable grips. which means it doesn't really have grips. I should have never sold my 22/45 Mk III with the wood grips !?! Thanks, Dan
