How does the gun not go off?
@rhinestoneropers920413 күн бұрын
Good question. First, these pistols are single action. That means you have to manually cock the hammer back to rotate the cylinder, then pull the trigger to fire it. So, you can pull the trigger and the gun will not fire unless it is cocked. Second, I never spin a loaded gun.
@dtnetlurker21 күн бұрын
I wouldn't do this all that much. It was a trick for the movies and TV. It's actually one of the worst things for your rifle. It can easily ruin the action. The movie studios didn't have to worry because they always had at least one extra ready. Looks cool though.

These are great tips! I suffered a severe right arm injury a couple years ago that required surgery (that didn't go well) and developed into CRPS in my right arm and hand. I couldn't even hold a gun without dropping it for a couple months but I am just getting started trying to spin a bit and I can barley do it at all because of the stiffness. But that middle finger stretch felt really good and I gained some flexibility.
@rhinestoneropers920423 күн бұрын
I'm very glad that the stretching is helpful. It sounds like you are prepared to endure some pain to get your skills back. That's a requirement for gun all spinning. You may find yourself relying more on your left hand. At least I have. I am looking forward to hearing about your success.

@rhinestoneropers9204Ай бұрын
I'm glad you liked it. And it is a difficult trick, at least it was for me. As for the rope, it is probably personnel preference, but I want my ropes to have some stiffness. My ropes last for years but I paint them to protect the outer surface and to keep them a bit stiff. After I paint them I spin them to break them in a bit before the first performance just to get used to how they feel.

@rhinestoneropers9204Ай бұрын
HI Glen, My cable brackets pulled off immediately after getting the trailer. So, I didn't do the reinforcement myself. It looks like the key is to reinforce from the backside of the wall. They fixed the aluminum plate to the wall with rivets. I don't know what is on the other side of the wall that made the rivets work. They must have put another plate on the other side of the wall for the rivet to grab. Then they put the bracket screws into the plate. Please let me know how it goes. I hope it is easy for you.

@rhinestoneropers9204Ай бұрын
HI John, the rig with the belts is more expensive. It has more metal in the holsters to hold it out away from the waist. It is built for fast draw. It is not good for spinning. Infact, I didn't know what I was buying when I got it. I don't wear it much so I can't say if there is any difference in belt verses string. The rigs that I practice and perform with have string. You have good eyes.
@johnwoodrow6536Ай бұрын
Thanks for the explanation. I wondered if the belts were tighter and kept the holster In the same position and made reholstering easier to drop or flip the gun back into the holster . I do see it alot on fast draw .
