Yes very seasonal. I don't rope in the snow at home but for some reason it seemed like a good idea on the mountain.

This is Awesome Dan!! I LOL'd when the videographer wiped out though, sorry whoever that is lol :)

Thanks Dan. He is my brother and an excellent skier. I think his mind was on my skies instead of his own.

I’m doing Oklahoma for my theatre, and I need to do the Texas skip. What kind of rope/Honda do you suggest and where can I get it?

Hi Josiah, Congratulations. Oklahoma is how I got my start. You will have a blast. The honda you should use depends on whether you have any experience trick roping. The traditional honda that trick ropers use is a heavy brass honda. It's also very fast. But if you are starting from scratch and have only a month to learn the Texas Skip, you should set up your rope differently. The Texas Skip is not a beginners trick. I did it for a production, as a beginner, so I know that it's possible. With some instruction and the right rope, you can too and better than I did.
