  In the parable of the 3 servants, Jesus villanizes the servant who does NOTHING with the money given to them to invest in the master's absence. If you do nothing because you're afraid of failure and judgment, it is sinful. If God gives you knowledge of the Kingdom of Heaven, and you do no good works or you don't spread the good news because you're afraid of God's judgment for doing so, you are not doing right by Him, and what was given to you will be taken away.
