If you just do NoFap and that's it, there's no point. You have to be improving in other aspects as well and stay busy. Staying at home and having will power to resist ain't gonna cut it. NoFap is just a piece of the puzzle, you gotta acquire the other areas as well. Stay strong brothers 💪

What is the conclusion or message of this story? Those who exalt themselves, those who take pride in their good deeds, their works, "I did this, I did that...", they shall be abased. Those who humble themselves and accept the gospel shall be exalted. Don't be like the Pharisees! God bless.

@@og_sonic Great question! Once you find the root and pluck that out that is when the diseased fruits stop producing. My root, was always trying to be someone and something that I wasn’t. Trying to prove to people I was the man until I fell; then went the viscous cycle. What I had was an identity crisis. I was never content and I was only happy when I was achieving this incredible high standard made by man. All of this went when I found my identity. My identity is in Jesus Christ.

This is powerful! Finally someone is talking about the true solution to this addiction that so many of us have!

I remember watching a video that was also pointing out why it’s best to quit no fap. The best way to break an addiction is to stop identifying ourselves as addicted. So counting days and building streaks is less helpful than to just move on with our lives and stop thinking about it entirely.

What I mean is that it's best to move on from considering yourself addicted once you are already abstaining from doing the particular thing. Keeping a streak of nofap or something similar for over a month will no longer be beneficial, since at that point, you're just keeping your mind on the habit you've been trying to break. Not considering yourself addicted shouldn't be a reaction of denial, but to move on from your past issues and genuinely feel like a better human being.

So it sticks in our mind. We're sinners, sinning is in our nature so instead of focusing on avoiding sin we need to focus on seeking the one who freed us from sin

I've tried nofap for YEARS. The best I've ever gotten in my life was 16 days straight. And it's been hopeless ever since. No other guy has hit on this topic, because ultimately, they don't see focusing on yourself completely and utterly as a problem. The truth is that it does not matter if we're on 20+ years of nofap. If we don't have Jesus, that streak won't buy us heaven. We need to break the cycle. We need to make Jesus our life's work instead of not sinning our life's work. It's wild, even the most upright people on KZread aren't willing to come out and say this. This is obviously not to be used as an excuse to sin, we should still have a negative attitude towards it. But when we do sin, we can't get bogged down on "oh ok my streak is reset I feel so guilty, I'm gonna ignore God and go at it alone to prove to Him that I'm good enough." God KNOWS you aren't good enough. If He didn't, Jesus would not have been needed. Thank you so much for this message, Dre. I really needed that this week.

It doesn't matter if you get 8 months or a year or ten years, Jesus will still say to you "depart from me, I never knew you," when you die. The only solution to this is submitting to Jesus, pick up your cross, and let Him do the good work through you. He will say to you when you die, "Well done good and faithful servant." Not because of who we are, but because of who HE is. Find Jesus, brother. He will give you all the motivation you need.

@@G.Hibiscus i agree that god is the solution, but if you were unable to go for more than 16 days in years then you have some problems in yourself to look for. i was a hella addict from age 9 or 10 to 16-17, then i decided to do a streak and i went for 270 ish days, now im 18 and still easily maintaining a new streak which i don't count and never will, because it does not come up to my mind ever, i just simly do my business and exist. no reason to come up with excuses just because you did not have the fire inside you

Guilt is all I got from nofap. No wonder it's actually about religion given the overlap. It's not the fapping that you should feel guilty of, but the lethargic life that probably lead you to it. After I stopped caring about nofap and I just followed my hobbies and work, I realized that was not even a problem in the first place.

You make some good points in regard to not focusing on our good works and also point out the way NoFap and SR can go bad. But the part where this whole video falls short for me is repeating "you're still a sinner". There are different levels of sin. Not all sin is the same. And not watching porn for a year is a good act regardless of whether you focus on it or not. It's better than watching porn all that year. You'll have sinned less. You'll also likely feel more healthy and be more engaged in life. And if you manage to do it and not get a big ego and it actually brings you closer to spirit - which it definitely can while porn will make it harder to be closer to spirit - that's a good thing. I hear what you're saying with NoFap in particular creating a cycle of ups and downs and being a distraction, though. It's important to understand that it can easily become that.

After 3 hard months without no fapping can say where I had a lot of sleepless nights,restlessness,nervousness where I simply saw myself as an individual full of weaknesses.But as benefits I see this crazy energy,connection and eye contact is incredible,I simply noticed how women get stuck on you.But it's also really hard..hard in the way that you don't know what to do with this new version of yourself,hard that I can't sleep at night,hard that you don't know where it's going to end up and scared that you have moments where you're so close to giving up.But I pray to God to give me strength and I hope it's going to be okay

from my experience on 100 days on nofap I can say it’s was the most transformative 3 month ever for me. Is it sustainable? Yes, but only if you can a partner so you can release your sexual energy. I believe removing sexuality from your life is against human nature. From my research people who have a good life, no mental health problems can fap just fine without any sides effects. But it’s you struggle with your mental health and other areas of life. Semen retention or nofap is a must. Transmutating the sexual energy into action, drive and confidence. A relapse will happen most likely unless you have a partner. But you have to keep going, this is a sacred practice. This has only benefits. And after around 60 days you stop thinking about sex. That’s approximately how long it takes to break a habit (at least for me). Your focus will go towards important things. And you will stop chasing happiness and pleasure and you will case purpose.

The only other option is pron, but it's pretty common knowledge that masturbation with or without ejaculation and pornography undermine the dopamine system. Those acts reinforce the actions of acquiring without actually sacrificing anything and growing, like how using the feeling of a good workout can lead to growing the muscle. When you fap, you gain nothing. Also, intercourse is only a small part of human sexuality. Good deeds isn’t just no fap. It’s helping other people, it’s giving people food that are on the street and so on. It also says in the Quran something along the lines of “those who do good deeds shall be rewarded”. Now like I said, good deeds isn’t about nofap, it’s about much more than yourself.

Praise to God! Keep spreading the word brother. Many of us don't realise we worship idols, it could be an addiction, careers, heck even your loved ones(ps: it takes time to digest and realise) we have to constantly check ourselves that be put God first. Also the part where you said, "God will do his work *through* you" was powerful and something many fail to understand.

NoFap is relatively a new concept. Our ancestors never had to get involved with such a movement because there was no pornography to begin with. And I would argue that abstaining from masturbation and pornography is not something to be proud of. It's supposed to be a normal thing not to masturbate and watch pornography. Not the other way around.

I had issues with nofap, not the fact of resisting it was the blue balls that got me. After a month I suffered really bad with pain and discomfort, meaning I had to release myself because I knew I was gna do damage. Still I agree I felt great not fapping more energy positive thoughts throughout but its not natural to hold your urges.

Nofap isnt sustainable long term, its more so a first step. Single men cant just not do it every now and again, well I mean you can just not do it but it comes with its risks and its gonna happen regardless after too long. Once you beat the addiction, and have control over your urges, youve pretty well won the war. Its like they say, too much of anything is harmful, even things that are supposed to benefit you.

Yesterday I saw this and I am a Muslim and this is the most important things I learned , what you have said is still relevant even if its not 100% - If your plan of life isn't leading to a good trajectory, Just change it - Open your heart to god before you get cleaned ( there are times I just feel guilty to go pray and end up sinning anyway ) - Don't be caught in the loop of focusing on Not Spinning and doing good deeds and relapsing - do good but take away your ego and be honest with yourself - Aight I get the urge so fapping once a week or month couldn't be bad - As for no fap I'll remove all the triggers and I'll replace it with my imagination since iit is far less destructive and guilt free

I love your videos Dre but I disagree with the idea of asking “Can I sustain this the rest of my life” not with no fap but in general in life, most things seem impossible. You have to attack one day at a time, a recovering alcoholic can’t imagine being sober the rest of their life but they can process being sober TODAY, and focusing on today. Seals going through hell week can’t process an entire week but it can process “Ok let’s get through this hour, this day” we are a hell of a lot more capable of things then our mind wants us to think

That’s true, but I don’t think that’s the point of the video. The video was saying that the concept of the NoFap movement is just trading one sin for a other. Lust for pride. Dre is saying that true freedom from sin comes from Christ and His salvation. That’s the whole point of the video

I don’t think about corn hub or my no fap That’s how I am breaking my p-rn addiction to be honest I don’t even know what day I am on I’m 16 and I’m laser focused on my purpose women yea I get nervous around them but I don’t put women on a pedestal it just me and god vs the people that get in my way from my goals
