Over the ages the "Jews" (and that is a very loose term for a small percentage of Judah and other Israelite tribes) have preserved the Torah including the observance of the Sabbaths. In Zechariah 12:10 it states, "And I will pour upon the house of David and upon the inhabitants of Jerusalem the spirit of grace and of supplication; and they shall look upon Me whom they have pierced, and they shall mourn for Him as one mourneth for his only son, and shall be in bitterness for Him as one who is in bitterness for his firstborn." To know Yeshua is to know his character. How would the "Jews" open their eyes to the Messiah if throughout history Christians have claimed that the law has been "done away with" and they have been persecuted throughout centuries for their observance of the Torah and unwillingness to "convert" to a lawless Christianity. Why bother rebuild a third Temple? Resurrecting artifacts, structures, and procedures from the religious practices in ancient Israel would be going backwards, and not in keeping with God’s advancing plans under the New Covenant.
