Is it not the job of police and tribunals to prosecute criminals? I thought Separation of powers is meant to be one of the main principles of democracy, government should not be prosecuting the opposition, if that happens, it’s just mickymousse democracy
Talking tough in opposition, but the status quo will continue when it's their time in power. Amazed so many people fall for this show, the only thing that matters is the preservation of the elite, the only consistent priority of government is to protect the ruling class.

I’d certainly welcome a proper criminal investigation of Tory corruption. I don’t however anticipate any real action being taken to bring the criminals to book. The track record of other investigations suggests we shouldn’t hold our breaths for an actual finding, let alone criminal prosecutions or recovery of the billions stolen.

Hear, hear Rob. Even if nothing else changes under Labour, I’ll be more than happy if this, or at least the majority of this money, is recovered. Some have estimated that between PPE, Track and Trace and Furlough there’s about £100 billion of public money that’s been trousered by friends and family of the Tory Party or even some of the members themselves. As you say with the £7 billion that could have brought the tax threshold up to £16k or so, it’s scandalous what has gone on in government under the Tories, particularly post Brexit. Money has been deliberately taken from the poorest in our society and given to the richest. I will never forgive them for that, let alone the deaths that happened during Covid while they partied. If anyone thinks Farage is the answer to this, let me tell you he’ll be this on steroids. Well done Rob and well done to The Good Law Project for not letting this go.
