I have been a wrench head for years. I started off with building a 69 Camaro, then moved on to Miatas, followed by my first turbo car a 97 Eclipse GSX. After than I moved on to a Honda S2000, then my first MKIV Supra, then a 2010 Camaro, FD RX-7, R32 Nissan Skyline GT-R and my second Supra. I am now the owner of a 2013 Nissan GT-R Black Edition. I love JDM cars and would like to share that enthusiasm with all of you. I will be do car reviews, how to videos and opinions based on personal experience with those legendary JDM tuner cars. I tend to do almost all of the work on the car my self. This comes from a budgetary need as well as a lack of trust of mechanics in general. Working on cars are not has hard as people think, and I hope to show you that you can do it as well, regardless of your experience.

I’m 3+ years late but how does it feel owning an r35??
Good for the most part. I only have 2 real complaints 1) the seats sit to high and 2) the car is just a little big. I wish it was about 4 in smaller all around

Yes, because I've actually owned both. When it comes to the twisties, the S2K doesn't stand a chance against a NA or NB Miata. I even remember when I had the S2K I did a coastal run with a S2K club. Two Miatas showed up and the S2K owners could figure out why they could keep up with those little Mazdas in the twisty forest road.
Japan drives on the left because of the samurai. It was dishonourable to touch swords when walking beside each other. To stop that, you walked on the left side to avoid being cut down by a sword.

No disrespect, building these cars are fun but you have to know what to look for. Even then finding these parts are no easy task. That being said.. These parts are incorrect. Lettys car didn't have Kouki bumpers etc.. It did have JDM S14 style headlights but the body kit used was made by Zeal. Unfortunately no longer in production. The side skirts are available but front and rear bumpers are near to impossible to find. Also the wheels are wrong. They're Yokohama Advan AVS Model 5 18" wheels. You do however have the rarest part... The Vis GT wing. If you need help finding parts let me know I'd be glad to help.

That sucks. But good to know. My thoughts is that all these guys lie about where their stuff is made and likely all made somewhere in china. I talked to my friend at Nissan about the r35 nismo and he said the nismo carbon parts are made by the company that makes the GT race cars. If I have to make a guess why these might not fit is that the nismo carbon trunk might be different shape. I might be seeing the couple of older nismo GTR’s at Nissan headquarters in July. I’ll check.
@Herblenny I've seen a few Nismo GTRs and took close up pics to sent to CT Carbon. The trunks are the same shape, just nismo is made of CF. To get a Nismo wing from Nissan if about $14k

The EBA also has a diferent transmission i have a 2021 and a 2020- has transmission filter so the design is diferent

Another great instructional video!! Darwinpro is also a very good vendor (as mentioned in this video). I ordered 17' Nismo front bumper from them before. Almost perfect fit (only a bit of adjustment to make by the body shop. No sanding, cutting, or anything crazy like that). The carbon fiber is of great quality. The only thing that sucks is the wait time. Darwinpro makes product inhouse, so it takes a bit of waiting once you placed the order. However, that just mean that they (probably) don't just send you cheap parts from other Chinese vendors like alibaba etc.
Turns out, EBA is actually called 4BA.

Not directly. The hood would have to be swapped and there is some ducting for the oil cooler has to be modified. I personally don't like the 2017 + bumpers. The 2012 to 2016 look way better

The instructions are good. I just wish that you’d move the camera closer to certain thing you’re speaking of. For example, when you calibrate the e brake, talking about clicking and rotating, it was difficult to follow along since I don’t know what I’m looking at.
You know, I was thinking about that just the other day. The hard part about that is I am sometimes racing the clock. This 30 minute video was shot over a 12 hour day. Sometimes I'm racing the sun and an trying to make sure the project gets done. But you are right, after getting home and editing, inevitably I find a few places where I wish I had put the camera in a better spot or grabbed a cut away. I will try to do that more in future videos

I'm just speaking from a newbie point of view, since I have no experience working with e-brake. When you were explaining, I was hoping to be able to see what it was that you were speaking of. Overall, it still is a great instructional video. The good thing was the e-brake set up was straight forward. I was able to figure it out (guessing what I was doing) based on your instruction. @thaitanium9025 no insult taken at all. I was actually agreeing with you. I was littlerally thinking about it the other day. I needed more close ups of what I'm doing. The hard part is once I get moving on getting the job done I'm usually racing a clock. I could use a second camera, but I'm using GoPro and the batteries seems to not last long and the camera constantly glitches.
I have same wing do you find it shakes like mad the full wing when doing high speeds? Is so annoying like is going to come off is solid fixed aswell
Actually, no. I've had it up to 180 mph at Willow Springs and no shakinging at all. But there are some clear coat issues now

Great video!! Lot of props doing the conversion in a parking structure. Since you have the JDM and USDM head-light, just get the USDM headlight, the light beam points to the proper side of the road for as it’s a Left handed car. Your bumper sags because you need the s14 Kouki bumper retainer, once installed it will fit properly. BTW It’s discontinued and you would need to source it out EBay or used. Also to avoid the gap between the top of the headlights and the hood, you also need the rubber strip that goes in between. Unfortunately it’s also been discontinued, but some seller on EBay sells replicas. $200 yikes !!! Kouki crash support/bar is the same as Zenkie

Im new in the jdm market and love the looks of the gtr r35, what I dont understand yet is why some model prices vary so much, are those nismo,premium,black edition body kits/rims/carbon fiber trims only or the actual engine is upgraded? Can someone explain?
Except for the nismo, which got some upgraded turbos, the engine and transmission are all the all the same. The packages are mainly esthetic

Ya, I heard. As to it being the last model year, Nissan has been saying that every year for the last 3 to 4 years, so I don't know how if I believe it yet. However, a lot of their promotional work seems to support the idea their might finally be the end of the 35
