I mounted a similar wing from CT Carbon on my car in the spring of 2021. I bolted the central part with two m5 bolts. I put nut rivets in the central part, drilled holes, safer than just 3m tape.

Another great instructional video!! Darwinpro is also a very good vendor (as mentioned in this video). I ordered 17' Nismo front bumper from them before. Almost perfect fit (only a bit of adjustment to make by the body shop. No sanding, cutting, or anything crazy like that). The carbon fiber is of great quality. The only thing that sucks is the wait time. Darwinpro makes product inhouse, so it takes a bit of waiting once you placed the order. However, that just mean that they (probably) don't just send you cheap parts from other Chinese vendors like alibaba etc.

I have now used the 3M Auto Advanced Adhesive Remover and it worked very well. Got the foam tape off and did not damage the paint. This stuff is way better than Goo Gone or WD40.

Use a caramel wheel to get off the old sticky stuff, it works great! Love the wing, looks so good

Thanks. I got in the 3m auto advance adhesive remover. I haven't used it yet becuase we're battling over 100 degree Temps. If it doesn't work I will definitely try the wheel

Great video. You should have gotten the NTune ones. That wing looks cheap and awkward with "more rear edge sticking out" and that third brake light sucks with only double-sided tape and not flush with the trunk. But then it's your car.

Nice video, do you have plans for a Nismo front bumper? I’d love to do one but l don’t trust the fitment quality of something like N-Tune.

EPI, who makes N-Tune, seems pretty straight up. However I found a maker who makes polyurethane nismo front bumpers. I'll never work with a fiberglass nose piece again

So all done and dusted fitted this but at high speed the boot lid moves upon inspection the boot lid shuts but can push it up and down not solid tight when it closes they rubber adjusters that screw in and out when shut boot lid when screw out and close it pushes them in and there is play in the boot lid please help

@@JDArcher is okay I found out the issue the adjusters x4 on boot lid you pull centre part out then turn the screw on it to lock it was to much play in boot lid now is solid

I did, they claimed to do a design and sent it to me. It wasn't enough of a change. I let them know. They said they were going to go again, but haven't heard from them in a while. As I said, for a $1200 wing it's good, but if you have the $3k go with EPI

You know you should just make sure the spoiler can handle 180 mph. Just to be safe.

Becuase I have a few more things to do before the car will be ready for paint. Taking the wing off will take only a few minutes.

Are those lock nuts? If not, why aren’t you using lock tight? Nice wing. Personally, I would have gotten the holes filled and lid painted before installing…

Lock washers. The reason I haven't filled the holes is because I'm looking to do a color change anyway. Plus I want to get a set of EPI fenders and nismo nose

Can see that piece flying off with the 3 m tape maybe best glue it

Nope. It's been on the car for a few months, and been over 80 mph for an extended period of time on the way to and from Vegas

@@garyalcorn3831 not yet. I used vinyl dots for the moment. I want to wait till I finish the Nismo conversion to do all the body work and paint, or get a CF trunk

It's just the trunk. It's easily replaced. I wouldn't drill into the main body though...mainly becuase I don't like wide body kits

Should have saved the money and painted the fenders already. Not a good look for GTR

Actually i want either different fenders or nismo style bumper. That's why they're not painted yet
