I would love to see even more weapons, they should bring back the tonfa and magnet spikes. With the game as it is now bringing those back would do them justice. They could be balanced if needed but personally I just want to see a advanced move set of the two.

10:43 Also, lorewise, elder dragons are known for not being able to track down as "hatchlings", so that'd be unusual to explain after all this time.

Path of Titans is for kids and teens who just want a dumbed down version of a game where it literally doesn't matter what you do and its very hard to starve or really die in the game if you pay attention. It is sad that the modding community has ruined servers though, and because of that cheating as at an all time high this year. For the very young crowd future is there because its on console, but beyond that the future is dim.

I honestly still havent found a weapon I liked, even after giving ALL of them a good shot at it, the best I've gotten was Dual Blades but even then its still not of my taste. What I've been dying for is either a two handed weapon that is built around sharpness *while* being agile, I like hammer but its too slow for me, I like dual blades but its too close for me, so really, an Axe, a decent axe, not massively large, but decent.

I just hope the wounding isn't too strong or they keep counting damage towards the next wound state when it's full. Otherwise you get into a situation where if you haven't triggered the bonus damage yet you're wasting DPS. Just like when your tenderize expires. What I'm saying is, if triggering the wound damage is urgent enough, then it could be just as bad as tenderizing.

Guys, I really don’t understand what you all want. You whined about stamina, so they fixed it for you. You whined that it was difficult to find food, now the food runs up to you and there is so much of it that the game starts to lag from the corpses. I agree about the camera. This is a crazy decision. But otherwise, I fully support the vector of development into realism and immersion. Global chat ruins immersion. If you want to sit and chat in a dinosaur skin and you don’t need diets, migrations, if all these mechanics are tiresome for you, then download VRchat or a similar game, there you can choose a dinosaur skin and more, make a map with a jungle there and sit and chat as much as you like. What is the problem? Why do you unify the word "fun" even? For some, it will be a "fun" to run around in a game with cheats and ruin the gameplay of other players, for others, it will be a "fun" to call on discord, gather in a mix pack and run around killing players. This is why developers must sacrifice the "fun" of some for the sake of their vision of the game as something whole and complete. If the developers don't see the game as some kind of Sims with dinosaurs where someone adopts other dinosaurs or uses them as pets, then I completely agree with them.

the isle has greater potential, better visuals, more unique playables, a more interesting setting, and better movement. Pot has better performance, fewer bugs, more updates, mod support, more playables, more progression, and is cross platform. the isle wouldn't be caught dead listening to their players while pot is way too reliant on their players for developing their game. The isle is often immersive to a fault while pot is too arcade like. The idle vs path of acorns. Their gameplay styles are so different from each other that it doesn't really feel right to compare them.

I get what you're saying but I'm going reserve judgement until all the major mechanics become implemented. I've been playing on the hordetest, and a lot of my problems with the gameplay loop have been addressed with mutations. It's just an early version, but it's done a lot in making the experience feel more engaging. I'm actually enjoying the isle more than I ever have in this test branch. Nests are actually important now, because hatchlings inherit bonus mutations from their parents. The game feels more experimental and replayable. You could play the same animal multiple times and have different builds based on your mutations. I think the isle can be immersive to a fault, but let the devs cook first. You can't judge a meal before it's finished just because you tasted the ingredients beforehand. This next update is looking very promising to me, and I think it might even usher in a new era of prosperity for the game.

You know what I think would be interesting that I’m surprised we haven’t gotten yet? Herbivorous dinosaurs. We rarely get huntable monsters that are purely herbivorous, as most of the ones we hunt in game are carnivores, omnivores, or rock eaters, and pretty much all dinosaur based monsters are based on theropods. We’ve had small monsters based off herbivorous dinosaurs before, Aptonoth being based off hadrosaurs, Rhenoplos being based off ceratopsians, Apceros being based off of ankylosaurs and so on, and Diablos and Monoblos both have ceratopsian horns and frills, but we’ve never had a proper ceratopsian, hadrosaur, ankylosaur, or stegosaur based large monster. In the trailer we see Doshugama as a social, pack hunting monster, so what if some of these guys were herd animals. What if you fought a hadrosaur monster that used its roars to stun you or call its herd members to its aid? What if you fought ceratopsians that formed a defensive circle around injured members forcing you to fight through them or slip over or under them?

Ok, I think I cooked. (Very sorry in advance for the long read) They should make the diet system completely optional, with no benefits or drawbacks to the system, just a list telling you what your dinosaur prefers to eat, this way, you can pitch to the realism players, as well as the people who don’t want to be restricted. Now for the nesting system, they could add asexual nesting as an option for players. Asexual nesting would act different from regular nesting. Players would be able to nest by themselves without the addition of a male. For every mutation the parent has = 1 completely random mutation for the baby. For example, if I only have the reinforced tendons mutation on my dinosaur, then my offspring would spawn in with only 1 random mutation. If I have 3 or 4 mutations, then the baby spawn in with 3 or 4 random mutations. This would allow players to gamble with what mutations they could get. Players would also be able to chose their skin before being nested in, instead of getting their parents skin. Regular nesting should remain the same. For the players that want to nest normally, the devs could add mating calls, which travel the same distance as a broadcast call, but sound distinct in order to let people know that person is interested in nesting. They could also make it so that every dinosaur has several unique versions of the calls 1-4. This would act very similar to how you can choose your players voice in ark ascended. Fun QOL mechanics could be implemented as well. I’ll put a list of some of the ideas I had down below. - scratching trees: scratching trees, as shown in Bary’s concept art, would make it so that you leave claw marks on the tree you scratched. This would let people know that another player is nearby, or has claimed territory. The claw marks you leave would be an indicator of your dinosaurs size. So troodon and omniraptor could leave small claw marks. Dinosaurs like dilophosaurus and baryonyx could leave medium claw marks, and theri, spino, etc could leave large claw marks. Ceratopsians, and dinosaurs that have less pronounced arms/claws, could leave rub marks on trees, or shrubs, making it so that if you rubbed a tree with your horns, some of the bark would be scraped off. Dinosaurs that don’t have horns could crush certain types of foliage instead. For example, ankylosaurus could slam its tail in the ground, leaving a small pit where its tail hit the ground. Tyrannosaurus could crush foliage the size of a banana tree (crushing foliage, and knocking down trees are different in this regard). - Simple emotes like scratching, and shaking: pretty self explanatory, you press a key, and your dinosaur would scratch itself, or shake. Tell me what you all think of my ideas.

The first half of this video is weird because every dinosaur game does this. You’re getting mad at mechanic showcase videos for showing how the game is supposed to be played, but you don’t acknowledge that other games like path of titans do the exact same things in their trailers. The devs do not expect you to play exaclty like this, but they’re not gonna make a mechanic showcase trailer filled with the chaos that comes with playing officials or no rules servers, that would be dumb.

I hate Rise Sunbreaks paid DLC it ruin the Event Quests. There’s no Armor and Weapons just the Worst rewards. The only good Event Quests are the Buddy quests because it’s real equipment. I bet Capcom is going to triple down and make it even worse, and the MH community will ignore it.

Your concept for the ant combat sounds like a super advanced version of the original Vespoid Queen fight. Slaughter enough vespoids and you summon the vespoid queen but with a lot more variety and complexity.

This is smart, keep making hater The Isle content... I'm not joking there's a huge audience of people that just want the game to fail massively and they will watch more of your videos. I however am enjoying the game, and after a quick 20 second scan through the comments I think I'll just wait a few more years until I hate the game. I have 100 hours and started a few weeks ago so I'll continue having fun. Outsider's view: Simply put, when you're in an early access game for more than 5 years, many early adopters will not be won back, ever, for many reasons.

honestly, since they'll never bring back prowler mode, it would be really cool if they compromised with a new weapon type that let you synergize attacks with your palico. i just wish they were more involved in the hunt. so why not an entire weapon moveset dedicated to it? or maybe the palico IS your weapon??? a palico launcher????

I think this idea is what survival dino lovers are yearning for. A nestling and dynamic survival system that Dosent rely souly on other players to make it happen correctly. The AI can proved us the tool we need to make the experience realistic and immersive without having to instruct other players to take part in it.

What kills me is the people who keep claiming Dondi is new to making video games/not very experienced. Dude has loads of money and the game has been out for 9 yrs. If i worked for Sony for 9 yrs, and STILL wasnt experienced...id be fired. If after 9 yrs and a crap ton of money, hes STILL inexperienced...thats a problem. Like...hes not even trying to learn. Sorry, but no. He should be far from inexperienced at this point...
