I like to "try" and fix, I like to "try" and mod, I will give anything a go but I am no expert, what's the worst that will happen?!!
I have made mistakes, I have been lucky but I aim to improve on every repair learn from the last and improve every time.
My aim is to buy faulty items and save them from the bin. I try and buy items that I can keep, give to my kids or family or use myself.
I seem to mainly pickup Switches, but will give any console or electrical item an attempted fix!
Feel free to make video recommendations or requests.
I appreciate you watching my channel and hope you can take the time to give me a follow, Thanks.
**I now have two other channels, the first Fix.ModBuild,Extra will be for all the things similar but not fixing
www.youtube.com/@FixModBuildExtra
The other channel jamigaGaming will be for gaming related things, playing games badly, mods, reviews.

I would really appreciate if you could follow and subscribe.

Did you fix the wi fi module and the camera works?
Yes, but not always the fix
Thanks gotta do mine this weekend heater smells weird
Did this but I power on and switch is making small buzzing noise 😔
Check your solder, if no joy reset and test without.
Can we use Lite pico2040 modchip in v1 model?
I think there's work arounds running cables but I don't know how
does this work for v2 chips too?
Yes
You lost me here. At 15:00 you soldered one end of a green wire to the pad you placed under the nand. Then at 18:00 you soldered the end of a green wire to a point on the circuit board. Then at 18:45, you soldered ANOTHER green wire to the mod chip?? Then at 19:30 you say to solder on the 'B' wire. But since you used green wire for all connections, it's not clear which green wire goes where? You really should color code when making videos or add better notes. It also looks like you're using thick plumbing solder instead of electrical solder, which is why your solder keeps globbing up.
jajaja, Tronixfix....
How do you make sure not to burn the plastic from the switch Case? I got my soldering tool too close to it and burnt quite a big part off the case off.. Does kepton taping it help?
It's not really anywhere near the edges so shouldn't be an issue?
@@fixingmoddingbuilding From what I see in the video your connection points are sideways, mine are above and below the little point that needs to be soldered, so I guess I'm soldering closer to the case when soldering the lower copper part. Also my soldering tool is wireless and quite chunky.
Все четенько показал, благодарю .
Can you please share the amazon linm

@@TapticDigital Thanks, I need more practice to smarten them up next!
Nice to hear you talking, good informative video as always!
Thanks for the comment, decided it was time to talk, hopefully can get better over time!
looks like this calls back to Chinese servers, personally I wouldn't trust that
Is that a fact or a guess?
@@fixingmoddingbuildingCan u see what’s happening at home in the app, when u aren’t at home?
where can i get the modchip from?
Aliexpress
I dont have yellow tape can i use foil instead
Yes
@@fixingmoddingbuilding thanks man great method btw I subscribed
Nice fix pal. You have got loads better at trace repair now. You never used to like doing trace repair.
Thanks and yes I tried it a few times in the past and just could not do it. Having something to zoom in good and a fine tip soldering iron also helps alot!
If you hit copper wire with a hammer and stretch it, you can make something?
Nice one 👍
How do you rip a ribbon cable that's inside of a Nintendo Switch
When you have a test housing that gets a new motherboard in and out constantly, the cables get worn
150 vs 35 dollars for slightly worse quality is a win in my opinion.
Yes I agree, she still plays with it now. Had other sets since and I still think it's a good deal for people on a budget!
I got a set of these I loke them but even tured off they drained the battery in matter of a day or too!
Thanks, which tool i need to check if the solder is soldered correctly
You just look at your solder joints and see if they are done right?
Withoput image stabilisation, the images are useful for a quick look, but not suitable as a microscope. First camera does not have a close up lens.
Yer I have a use for the better one will be using it in future videos
What should I do after the modchip?

Im using a 2.73 firmware
Maravilloso 🎉🎉
The song is a banger!
Good job. Could have installed in a more 'exotic' shell since you have gone to all the trouble? eg Transparent, Pokemon or Animal Crossing?
I am getting that many Switchs I need to try and sell some, I have found the more "exotic" ones like Pokemon just dont sell?
3:40 is it easier to just remove it? I would have at least considered a haur dryer if i don't have a heat gun
I did remove?
Nintendo switch repair is so nonsensical "Touch screen doesn't work because of a bad cartridge port" huh? Also annoying because it uses two different thermal pastes
Yer, thanks!
loooove that music ! Friend where can donwlooad flash archive for rp2040 v4 ¿
nice fix
Thanks mate 👍
First😊
Yes you are!👍
Hey there! I have the same problem too. I wanna ask bout the ribbon, what kind of the ribbon cable should i buy? Because here in Indonesian local online marketplace, i found 2 different type of that. It says there's are One-way cable and reversible cables. So Which one should i buy?
These work with v2?
Not sure, I've read no, but best check there website
@@fixingmoddingbuilding I ordered 3 after posting, I reached out to site on delivery time and what their confirmation was for v2. I'll reply when I get em.
Works, but sloppy

Man, I guess my flex cable was bad or something. I redid everything and it just kept booting into ofw with there being 2 pulses on the chip. I just uninstalled everything and at least the switch boots fine. I'm gonna try with the other flex cable and see if it works better, otherwise I need to try direct wire install.
Good luck 👍
Is that ribbon wrap up and place on the battery made for the scuff?
You can use capton tape to cover caps in between so you dont short them
Yer heard someone say that before, it's a good tip
Good to hear your voice! As always love your vids.
Thanks, decided to bite the bullet!
Thanks, decided to bite the bullet!
Thanks, meng. Every other video told to use a magical toothbrush, but adjusting tightening the ribbon did the job.
Thanks, glad it helped 👍
Thanks, glad it helped 👍
i have done on 3 v2 switches, one of them I slipped in the wifi capacitor on the left side of the shield that you have to remove, it was a headache to solder it again, but it worked!, im training to do on OLED systems, one day I will do it!
Help my wii u keeps turning off when I plug the pico to the wii u
Zoom in more so I can’t see shit
Will do 👍
Every listing in Ali Express I see do not seem to have the SP1 and SP2 flex cable, anyone knows why?
Ídem
The lite comes with one version
If i loose golden part on flex while soldering does the flex wont work?
Yer probably won't work as that's the solder point
