yo bro i got a question for you, lets say i go to any generic phone repair shop in the UK , but before i do that, i unscrew all the parts of the controller and just leave the motherboard, i buy the replacement potentiometer parts from the cheap online place, and i take the mobo to them with old potentiometer and the new one, i ask them only to replace the part, would they be able to do that and would it work? and how much would it potentially cost? would it be safe to take only this part to them? ( also i would be taking hall effect switches instead of normal potentiometer switches, forgot to mention that above) (oh btw, you dont need to solder the wire on the switch pro controller like you did above, u just need to plug in a flat wire thing, so when i would be taking my mobo it would not be like your ps5 controller above), also what should I tell them beforehand?

Maybe it could work on my dualsense which I replaced the joysticks with hall effect joysticks.

If I were to take off the solder on the sticks and wires that connect to the motherboard can I just use the soldering iron to heat up the solder and take it off or do I need flux and a heat gun?

Flux would help but I do think you can do it with just a soldering iron 👍 Was planning on trying it myself.

Better to install the hall effect ones because they get no drift also they last for a very long time
