Welcome! Here, you'll find videos all about decluttering and simplifying life. All delivered with a healthy dose of humour and a positive attitude.
As someone with ADHD, I know how overwhelming life can be when you're constantly juggling a million different things. I'm passionate about sharing my tips and tricks for decluttering both your physical space and your mental space, so you can focus on what really matters.
I firmly believe that simplifying your life doesn't have to mean sacrificing joy and happiness. In fact, I think it's the opposite - by letting go of things that don't serve us, we can make room for the things that truly bring us joy.
And when it comes to toxic people and draining commitments? Well, I'm not afraid to drop 'em like they're hot. Life is too short to waste time on negativity and drama.
So if you're ready to live a simpler, more joyful life, stick around and join me on this journey. Let's declutter, simplify, and embrace our inner joy-seekers together!

I can't wait to downsize in retirement.. my son wants about 50% of my items, maybe 10 percent will go with me..the rest selling ,free cycle and donation.
Absolutely loved your little tour! Amazing to me that you can manage all that, and run a home, and raise children, find time for hubby, AND work as a nurse! Superwoman! 👍👏👏👏🙋♀️🇺🇸🥰‼️
Wonderful, Robyn! Dana, Decluttering at the Speed of Life was such a gamechanger for me! Huge! You have improved my life! Thank you!
What a sweet stack that Pancake is!
What an amazing garden!
I was wondering how your KZread issue resolved. I saw your video from 6 months ago
Loved seeing your garden! I know you’ve mentioned it several times and I always wanted to see it. It’s large and so beautiful! I love gardening too, and it’s an escape from my work day but I am also having a difficult time with my beans being munched continuously. I’m not sure I’ll end up with many this year.
Love!!!!! Even more that you were in your pjs! Thanks!
I love your garden. ❤
Awesome garden, looks fabulous! Have fun!
Wow! That’s a garden 😄
Fun tour...may you have a bountiful harvest!! ❤🌽🍅🥒🍓 "Bob's your Uncle"...actually he's my husband, LOL!! 😂
Love the garden tour!
Loved this! I’m going to get cracking!
You’ve done a wonderful job! How exciting 🎉
Will have to check out Claire's Longkeeper.
Wonderful garden! I didn’t put in any vegetables this year. I just didn’t have it in me. 🤷🏼♀️ Next year I hope. I love homegrown tomatoes 🍅
Really nice!!
Thank you!
I love my garden, too, but it isn't food/vegetables/fruit. It is perennial flowers; hydrangea, hostas, roses, etc. I'm loving spending time putzing around out there!
Stay tidy and mighty! Thank you for gardening inspiration I might even get to some today
You can do it!
Thank you for sharing! I need to dial in my irrigation.
It is a game changer!
I purposely sign in as a guest and use a different browser when I’m going to look at something that I don’t want to be inundated with ads for because screwed up my algorithm by following a link on the accounts I use daily.
OMG the algorithm is always stalking me. I try hard not to click
I've decluttered SO much stuff and after almost 30 yrs I did end up finally donating my wedding dress to a foundation that makes outfits for babies born still. I'm happy someone got some use but it took a LONG time for me to part with it.
🙏🏼💕🎉
To everyone if you haven’t watched the tv show Swedish death leaning on peacock you’ve gotta watch it. It’s one of the best shows I’ve seen. Really got my mom in the spirit of decluttering
Here are some textile recycling options: -For underwear, bras, socks and hosiery I sent mine to hanky panky using their free recycling program. They give you a prepaid shipping label and you just package it up and send it. -For clothing I recently used thred up, they sell what they can and recycle the rest. I sent them things I knew they weren’t going to sell just because I didn’t know how else to recycle it. For them I did it through the container store so shipping was free and I opted for payment in a gift card to the store which gave you an extra percentage back. I’ve also seen this offered through fabletics and they will give you the bag and prepaid shipping label when you place an order through them and you can get a gift card to the store too. -There is also for days wheee you can buy a recycling bag for 20 and they will give you a gift card for 30. This would be a good option for things thred up won’t pay toy for like pjs, things with holes or that are falling apart. -Also if you have rei they have a sock recycling program. -H&M also has textile recycling for any brand For electronics: -Best Buy has bins inside -Apple and Amazon have programs where you can ship them electronics for free to recycle Apple also has in person I believe they all take every brand Makeup/cosmetic recycling: Nordstrom, nordstrom rack, l’occitane and ultra have bins inside Saks 5th Ave and Nordstrom also have a shipping program through terra cycle that is free Terracycle is also a great resource for some more obscure items like stashed bags or blow dryers. They have a lot that are sponsored by certain brands and offered for free
How do u keep ur cats off ur tree?
We just lucked out with cats that don’t climb our tree ☺️
Thankfully, I don't shop online. The last thing I bought online was a rare book, pre-covid. I live in the UK, and Amazon online shopping is contributing to a lot of high streets (Anerican equivalent is 'market street') dying.
It's a GORGEOUS DRESS!!!! I could totally see that maybe a family member mightttt want to either be married in it, or prom, or just a fancy other occasion!!! It is a pretty small thing to keepsake! But I know that we also don't want to keep everything, too! (Like I can see you don't) 😊 I keep my prom dress that I spent HOURS & HOURS making (hand sewn sequins sprinkled throughout the very flowy skirt!) even though I've never worn it since! But I feel like there might be a chance that I want to remake the skirt into something else someday, after alllll that work!
I thought the wooden picture behind you was of a dinosaur. I was wondering why you would have a dinosaur picture on your wall …. 🤔 Well she does have sons maybe one of them created it 🤷♀️
I'm happier when I've made my bed before leaving the bedroom. But it's hard to make it when someone else is still lying in it.😂
Yes! That would be tricky for sure! 🤣 Many people have commented about letting the bed “breathe”, so maybe you could fold your side of the blankets down so they can air out and it will look a bit “made”?!
Swedish Death Cleaning is a longstanding tradition in Sweden. When going through inherited sentimental items, the question that helps me most is, "Is this my memory or theirs?"
Omg! The convenience factor, YES!!! AND the uh, another box, big deal....😂😂 Sooooo much so, to the extent that I frequently find myself thinking 'i wonder what this is?' Mind you, it's NOT that I do soooo much impulse buying that I can't remember what I'm buying, just the opposite! I'm disabled so I rely on the convenience of 'subscribe and save', and also just 'order once' options for a TON of my daily routine supplies! Febreze air freshener refills just came in 2 days ago (on the auto subscribe) but the box on my porch when I got home 'i wonder what this is'? Question in my head WASN'T a 'fun ooohhhh excited ' question by any means, like a present lol. It was I just curious what I bought and forgot about bc it was so routine cleaning supplies lol😅
All our boxes and packaging are kept for selling on eBay. It means we never have to spend money on packaging.
I’m glad you brought up fuel for shipping. I buy used items off eBay. But the shipping fuel probably negates some of the benefits of buying second hand. Though it’s still probably environmentally better than ordering new items, which I am also guilty of. 🙃 📦
I am just beginning this video with so much hope. Omg am I overwhelmed. Praying this will work.
i do shop online a bit however if i order anything it has to be not available in store i have some subscriptions like earth breeze (deliverly every 6 months) or sparkling ice +caffine (once a month) since the stores do not have these things. right now i am looking for a good cat tree that is big enough for my furr babies. i try to stay away from online shopping when i can
When I lived in a metro area, I avoided Amazon as much as I could. Now that I live in a more rural area, if I want to shop in person I usually drive 40, 50, or more miles to shop. Now I order online a lot more. I think I'm saving gas (not just my own) by ordering online. I used to be able to take boxes to a shipping center so they would be reused; now I can't find anyone who will take boxes, but shipping places do take bubble wrap, packing pillows, etc (but not packing peanuts). Also, I'm trying to declutter so I'm trying to buy a lot less -- if I find something I want but am not going to use immediately, I leave it in my cart f-o-r-e-v-e-r. Then I go through my "save for later" items periodically and often end up deleting them. I'm older and live alone so sometimes I order things online because I can't manage to carry the item myself! I wonder what others think.
I miss the brick & mortar stores or the ones that are open don’t stay stocked😔. I still have a cup from Amazon book shop! It is veerrryy convenient to shop online… all in moderation 👍🏻 So glad you institute the “cooling off period”!
I've never ordered from Amazon, not that there's anything wrong with that.
All this!
I put my kids least used toys in a black trash bag in the shed. If they ask for them I will give them back. I keep the bags for about 3 months. They have never asked for toys back. I have decluttered over 20 yard bags this way. Both my sons are neurodivergent. We are now moving into the container concept now that we can actually get into their rooms.
I order online because I can get the best selection and best price. My question is "does my life REALLY need this item?"
We have always traditionally here bought luxuries like clothing etc from a catalogue, now on line .. and parts for machinery etc .. if I go to the mainland ..it’s a whole day for 2.5 hours and and unless I take a car ( which is near on impossible in the summer due to the space being used by tourists ) I have to arrange what ever to be bought into the main city so I don’t miss my bus back to the ferry .. so I leave home at 5am and should be back by 9pm ..it’s a long day and very expensive for some small thing ..so I order on line
Terrific video!! 👏👏👍🙋♀️🇺🇸🥰‼️
brick and mortar stores are closing all the time. They are leaving people no choice in some cases to have to order on line. There are very few places left to go shopping for what we need.
I have my “Amazon day” for Wednesday. They wait to fulfill it on Tuesday, so if I add anything, it comes all together. It also allows for a delay and time to cancel.
I hate they use a huge box for a smaller box
Old lipstick gave me a chemical (?) Burn!!!!!
There's a chance that you may walk out of the physical store empty handed (either because they don't carry it, or couldn't get stock), so you either have to come back another day, or try checking out another store and pay whatever price. Online shopping is nice since you can easily price compare, get customer feedback on product's quality and not have to worry about traveling/lifting-as-much, but I will not use it for grocery shopping though. I like to pick out produce's ripeness, buy by the pound, look out for any clearance items, etc. I like to repurpose cardboard boxes before recycling them (similar reusing plastic bags or glass jars). Compost it for the backyard garden (or grow potatoes in them, lol), gift multiple things to the donation center, hold "time will tell" items when decluttering, etc.
I am so guilty of Amazon shopping and wanting things the same day. 😮. However, at Christmas time, I spend less money and can have my Christmas shopping done by November. Sometimes in just a day or 2. I used to go crazy finding just the right gift running from store to store. Sometimes, I just put things in the Amazon wish list and then eventually delete it or wait until it is no longer available.
