We were blessed to be raised in the country. Our summers as kids were spent wandering the woods, playing in ponds, picking garden vegetables, eating fruit from peach, plum, and cherry trees, hunting, and many other outside activities. Then at an incredibly young age in 1975 a teenage boy and girl from the Ozarks got married! The adventures began (and are still in full swing). We hung around the Ozarks for a few years and then Hubster joined the US Air Force. Wow, we had fun travelling all over the world (but our heart was still in the Ozarks). After retiring from the Air Force and Wifey (me) retired from Federal Civil Service, we miraculous had the opportunity to come full circle and start a homestead in the Ozarks. Wow, we are excited and scared to start this adventure. We have so many adventures planned…taking undeveloped land and clearing it, adding a road, electricity, water, building a home, cutting wood, creating wood craft/heirlooms, hiking and on and on…. It has just begun!

If I ever buy another house it has to be on level ground! Hills add character but complications.😂
lol. I know what you mean.
I would suggest to always build a couple of feet bigger than you think that you would need. Because of driving rain and snow.
Thanks for the suggestion. I may do that.
Great Video, Thanks! I just noticed the same leak on my CK2610 (right side also). Just wondering, did you check to see if this was covered by the warranty? Also, what was the torque the housing bolts and where can I find torque specs? Thanks
Yes I did check and was told wasn’t covered. Sorry I lost my notes on the torque value. I got the torque from the dealership when I got the seal.
Great job. You make it look easy :)
Thank you! 😊
Hello, how do you weatherproof your red oak posts ? Thanks
First, let me say red oak is not ideal but it was all I had on the property. I had planned three things: burn them, treat them with 50/50 diesel and used motor oil, and then coat them with roofing tar. Doing these three things provides good protection. However, I scored on several utility poles and have milled them. They are already treated! So I’ll be using them for my saw mill shed.
It's always nice to see a plan come together. Nice!🥰
It really is!
Be careful, that was a great video! I want one of those chainsaws. Love all your toys!
Thanks 👍
Randy again.. found it. " Picture This." Phone App. Havd a good day
Thanks. I’ll check it out.
Another channel i watch (moneypit homestead) showed us a free app on their phone that they can take a picture of the leaves or bark and it will identfy the tree. Sorry i cant remember the name if rhe app. Ill try to find and let ya know. Be safe randy
Identifying trees can be difficult and a good app would help. I tried one months ago, I don’t remember its name, but it wasn’t very accurate. I’m definitely open to trying one again.
Good morning Larry. Good video. You getting pretty dang good operating your excavator. I would love to do that. The park is looking fine. Really impressed with the saw. Blue is getting big. Watch the heat. Drink lots of water. Be safe randy😅
Hi Randy, thanks for the kind words. The SANY Excavator is so much fun and very helpful.
Would like to help you with tree identification but need closeups of the bark and leaves. The first tree looked as if it might be a hackberry and the second looked like it may have been a hickory. I sure appreciate when the you-tubers identify the trees they are cutting. It might be a help to someone else who wants to remove less desirable trees from their property, but end up cutting valuable trees instead. We have more diversity here in the Ozarks than what I realized 10 yrs ago. Thought that all we had were oaks, hickories, and walnuts, but that is not the case at all. Be careful out there. Like watching your videos.
Thanks for offer to help identify trees. I may take you up on it in the future. We did have a Certified Forester walk our property and identify trees that should be thinned. This was needed because some were dying prematurely because of crowding and lacked nutrients. You are correct, I need to be careful-many ways to get injured. Thanks for watching. Larry
That had potential to hurt! Be careful out there.
Yeppers. I’ll be more careful. Thanks.
You got the hoe, pick it up higher or by the roots
Thanks for the advice.
Oh my goodness. Be careful my dear cousin❣️
Will Do---lol. Have a blessed day.
Glad you're okay. Right? You're okay? How many arms am I holding up?
Yes, I’m totally ok. It just knocked my hat and glasses off. The limb didn’t touch my head.
Do you only have the one video from about 3 years ago describing your sawmill trailer build? I have some channel iron I’m planning on building a trailer for my HM122. I’m curious on how you mounted the feet to the trailer rails. Welded or bolted? I was trying to decide between using the feet or bolting the rails directly to the trailer.
Thanks for questions. That is the only videos I have on the trailer build. I was just starting the channel to record our progress on the homestead and it was for immediate family. Since then, several asked to view the channel and I open it to the public. I welded the feet to the trailer. This allowed me to make minor adjustments and keep the rails level. I highly recommend this versus bolting directly to the rails. Best of luck on your build. You may also want to add a log turner to your build. You can see mine in a few videos back.
@@FullCircleOzarks Thanks for the info ..I'm on the east side of the MO Ozarks near Poplar Bluff.
🤗🩵
Well, what's his name? Might as well fall in line with Blue, Bea, and Bullet. 😁 I'm thinking Buster would be a good name.
Ha ha haaaaaa! Not funny, funny.😆
Do you use a metal detector on those used logs? Could save on blades.
I sure do. Check out a few videos back. You can also see the metal detector in action again in a couple of weeks.
Those ground hogs look so sweet but the holes n tunneling they do isn't! 😢
Lol
We dug out weeds n grass n mulched around the trees in our "PARK" area. Lot of work. Gotta be easier ways!😊
We will eventually have mulch around the trees.
Thanks hubby! You are doing such a great job.
Thanks
Tuesday and Thursday is good. You will get more viewers. Keep up the good work. Use some time lapse when you cutting. Enjoy your videos
Thanks you so much for the kind words and encouragement.
Beautiful morning! Machine versus snake - funny. Always more clean up on the homestead but sure is looking nice. Enjoy your day. 😊
Thanks, you too!
I like to use a sawsall when things are dirty and rocky. Doesn't hurt my chain saw.
Excellent idea. Thanks.
A stump grinder would make short work of these stumps !!
I’m still thinking about adding a stump grinder to my tool set. I’ve rented one a few and the massive amount of rock made it mostly useless. It was a large industrial grinder too.
Oops!😂
Yes indeed.
He just needed to justify the upgrade for his wife. 😂
Everything happens for a reason time to upgrade to android hate how anti right to repair and greedy apple is will never buy a apple product its like apple is the car dealership and they only allow you to get it worked on with them and we know the dealer will always rip you off and sell you what you dont need.
Screen replacements aren't god awful levels of expensive, take it to your local repair shop and they'll do it for _probably_ under $150
Get apple care and u can get a brand new phone for 100$ lol or a screen replacement for 30$
I can guarantee that they're a god awful pain in the ass for a guy with big fingers, and he does.
@@darqv9358 That's not at all what I was saying, nor talking about in the first place.
No audio
There is in fact audio
I can hear
Oh no!
I vote for a bench. I think that would look great.
Thanks for the vote.
I think you should put a bench!
I was leaning on a bench too. However, the roots made it impossible to mow or plant anything nearby. The stumps are no more! Their removal is the next video.
I love the shirt and hat! Do you have a merch store yet?
No merch store yet. Maybe around fall of this year.
That's a nice stockpile of poles. Excavator sure is handy for all kinds of projects. Enjoyed the video.
Hoping to mill them next week for my mill shed. We are throughly enjoying the excavator. At this point, I’m thinking I’ll dismantle my log deck and just use the excavator while cutting firewood.
Now you have a bunch of insulators for making your fence. We have always been able to use a bunch of those for when we made electric fencing.
That is a great idea.
I have the iPhone 15, I’ve had it for about a year and I’ve been really pleased with it. I don’t think you will be disappointed if that’s what you go with.
Thanks. I went with the iPhone 15 pro max.
@@FullCircleOzarks that’s what I have also!
They say the camera is pretty good too so use it some for KZread videos. My GoPro heats up and shuts off pretty often-especially in the summer.
❤❤❤
Thanks
15:28 don't try to dig by pulling with the arm. Curl the bucket. It'll work much better.
Thanks.
Sawing poles into 6×6 beams
This is a fun project.
Some of those tags are pole numbers and dates of inspection. If ever there is a power outage you can read the number of the pole where the problem is.
Thanks for the info.
An idea for that ground wire is a ground wire for your Saw Mill shed. Protect it from the lightning.
Excellent idea. Thanks.
That is so very nice at the cemetery
Thank you for the kind comment.
Xin chào ❤❤❤❤❤🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
Thanks for watching.
Enjoyed your video. I think it would be a great idea to open up the area around the pond a bit. Too many trees surrounding it.
Yes I agree and that on on my list. Lots and lots of cleanup needed.
Future air pollution.
Interesting thought.
Lol cry more ,
Man your excavator really took care of the stumps with no problem. I think that is a great size excavator for a homestead. Enjoyed the video.
Thanks 👍
That’s a great idea to use an excavator to hold a log 😲
Works great. Not why I bought it but I’m constantly finding new uses for it.
Oh you are so right I love that rooster. I would call him Cogburn after John Wayne's Rooster Cogburn who was also as big as life!!!
Love it.
The Cock Blocker 🐓 lol
This rooster is so sweet and easy to care for.
It really is!
A silent rooster!! Love him.
He realizes it’s no sheep 🐏
