Very common term in this area. lol.

I have a one ton mini excavator, and sometimes I am absolutely amazed at the size of a log that it can pick up!!! On those really big logs, I try to bring it very close, and try to set the log partially on the blade, so that the weight is as close to the tracks as I can possibly get it!!

I consider a one ton too. In the end, I decided to go a bit bigger since I deal mostly with white and red oak logs-this log weighs a bit over 2200 pounds. Best of luck and thanks for b the tip.
