Michael J. Fox is actually a great guitar player and did play the guitar in this movie for real. I believe the singing voice is Huey Lewis… correct me if I’m wrong.

Christopher Lloyd's brilliant and breakout role was on a great TV show called Taxi. Maybe you've never had it there, but KZread is full of clips. Many stars like Danny Devito and Andy Kaufman got their big breaks on Taxi. You should check it out.

Just my personal opinion of course, but I don’t get being upset over the political commentary/satire that goes on in the show. I think that they make fun of the super extreme far right, not really all conservatives, just like they make fun of liberals and “woke” corporations. A lot of the commentary is just copy and paste from things people have actually said in the real world, so it’s not even parody at this point, just straight up reality lol. I don’t think it’s worth getting upset over unless you’re one of those extremists and share those views, like Jewish space lasers and a woman’s body aborting a pregnancy because it came from rape (things people have said in real life). Love your reactions as always, although I feel for your son Shane, I would NOT be able to watch this show with my parents if I was that age 🤣

Shane, Zack, excellent reaction! Remember being as uncomfortable as Zack the first time watching certain scenes. Glad you enjoyed it Zack. Post talk was cool. Would be great if you select the next in series, or Roger Rabbit , both are good. Both enjoy your day..................Could you check out the movie 'Teachers' sometime, even on own. It has the father Mcfly in it as well as Ralph Macchio( cobra kai), Jobeth Williams( Poltergeist), Nick Nolte (48 hours), and Judd Hirsch ( tv show 'taxi' which also had Christopher Lloyd).....worth the watch.

0:38 Christopher Lloyd's second most iconic and brilliant role was as Jim Ignatowski in the classic sitcom "Taxi." If you're a fan of Christopher Lloyd, watching this show is a must. Andy Kaufman, along with Danny DeVito, Tony Danza, and the great Judd Hirsch, delivered phenomenal performances. Christopher Lloyd was also great in a recent Bob Odenkirk movie called NOBODY. Even though Michael J. Fox did get diagnosed with Parkinsons shortly after the release of Part 3 in 1991, he didn't let anyone know until 1998 and work extensively beyond that. Disappointed you didn't have the kids react to this classic too. They'd have loved it. 5:31 CLASSIC music. Huey Lewis's The Power of Love was #1 on the Billboard Charts when it came out, and he wrote both that and "Back In Time" (its flipside), especially for Back to the Future. I'm hoping you're not like 99% of the millennial reactors and recognize him as the teacher/band judge...we shall see in a few seconds. 6:17 Nope, you blew it. Same as 99% of the rest of the reactors. That WAS Huey Lewis whose song you trashed. Boondock Saints stole the "Make like a tree" line from Back to the Future. That should be obvious. 51:57 There is a newspaper clipping hanging on the wall of Doc Brown's garage lab in the opening scene with the headline “Brown Mansion Destroyed.” His "Garage" was the only thing that survived, where he lived next to the Burger King.

Fun filmography fact: the director also made Castaway (the other "Tom Hanks" movie of his), and there was a long hiatus in the middle of the shoot so Tom Hanks could lose all the weight and film the second half of the movie when he's all skinny/buff. During that interim, the director made an underrated suspense/thriller called What Lies Beneath with Harrison Ford and Michell Pfeiffer. Definitely check it out if you haven't; the only movie to have made me "yelp" out loud in the theaters. Man, was that embarrassing, lol

In Mon Mothma's mind, she has sacrificed both her husband (or at least she's made the decision that she doesn't care what happens to him) and her daughter. But as you discussed, this could be the best thing for both her and her daughter. Davo is smart and he knows more about the flow of illicit money in the Empire than anyone...that's why they hired him. When he gets into Mon Mothma's accounts, he's going to figure out where her money is going. But if his son is married into the Mothma family, that will buy Davo's silence. And as you mentioned, when it becomes known to the Empire that Mon Mothma is a rebellion leader, Davo is probably the best person to keep her daughter safe.

Forbes wrote an article about the sexual assault on hughie.... apparently the showrunner Eric Kripke wrote it off as hilarious in an interview with Variety, he was even quoted saying: "I love that it’s just such a perfect setup that he doesn’t know his own safe word. It’s just like a beautiful comedy setup that he’s trying to find it the whole time.” The issue is had this quote come out after a female character was sexually assaulted in a similar scene, the uproar would be unmeasurable, along with the showrunners integrity coming under scrutiny and question, yet this gets glossed over and people move on.

As far as the far -right stuff these are REAL things that have happened and people have said .... They are AWFUL things that really happened , they are not over-doing things imo. Overdoing it would be making things up and making the people that have said and done those thing out to be something they are not. They are also going after the left and their ineffectual false activism from corporations and their complicity . They are also showing potential outcomes of continuing to be so polarizing with the whole " my truth " era of information. That is not how FACTS work and people are confusing opinion for fact on the daily. Politics have been in media from the beginning , pretending like it hasn't doesn't invalidate the effectiveness of holding a mirror up to society talking about fictional characters to give people are way to see things from a different perspective. We all have TV, movies, and books that shaped our personalities from philosophies that made sense to us. If you view what the far right representation do or say in the show as awful , cruel , bigoted, and ignorant ... guess what, you also think that about the real life comparisons from the show. If you don't want to be confronted with reality in a fictional show ... you are missing the entire point of fictional writing lol MOST fictional writing is referencing real life and the writers perspective they are trying to show to an audience. Sage is my absolute favorite character, I mentioned her make the conscious choice to remain stagnant in her apartment before Homelander "recruited" her. I find her character the most relatable for me. She has the ability to cure cancer and prolly any damn thing she chose to do..... but she TRIED to help , and was met with mockery and indifference which resulted from her perspective the murder of her grandmother. Her wrath should be epic by the time what she is really planning comes to fruition. Numan and her teaming up is dangerous as hell... and I am loving it lol

I don't think he's upset about it. He just mentioned how tiresome it is that they've beaten it into the show. I'm from the UK, and the oversaturation with the American political satire in this season has been ridiculous, and kinda takes focus off the overall plot. This season just feels like a season long SNL sketch.

The people paying attention to the political conservative thing seem to forget the whole thing is set up making fun of how shallow and fake celebrity culture is which is something people on the right always associate with the left. They are just taking some real life things like the space lasers and the abortion comment and putting them front and center. I mean even the star lighters were just people caught up in a social movement they weren't really accomplishing anything, just like real life it's all performative on both sides. The people that really run the show don't give a crap about abortion or trans people or any of the rest of it they just keep highlighting it so the rest of us fight over that instead of focusing on why they continue to dominate everything and the masses are virtually stuck in same spot financially their entire lives.
