Norm Macdonald said it best "cis is a way to marginalize normal ppl" it's the attempt to make a slur out of the majority “What it means is you were born a man and you identify yourself as a man. … It’s a way of marginalizing a normal person.”

At the end of this sat on the David Letterman show, you could tell Norm was an old softy, but I prefer to continue thinking of him as a distinguished gentleman with a flagging erection.

Two legends who are in absolute love with each other. Who have nothing but respect and awe for each other. That's what we got right here. They're both their most genuine when it's just the two of them. They mean every word they say about each other.

Very sad. Unrequited love, as I understand it. The fifth Beatle, in a sense, and George Martin was the sixth. They never got over his death, and the lack of a strong hand to guide them was one of the things that led to the break-up.

8:45 such a heavy moment in retrospect. Dave thinking as we all did, that norm was sufferings from an imposter syndrome, or being overly humble, emploring Norm to do more interview style shows, but norm knew at this point that this days were numbered, and deflects daves praise and concern with a hilarious joke

I don't think Dave realised just how important he was to Norm until way later. It's kind of crazy to watch the "compared to being dead" moment where Dave is clearly oblivious to how concerned Norm was about him, and how Dave's health problems brought back all the painful memories he had from his father's passing (judging from Norm drawing a direct parallel to it in an interview). But I think once Dave realised his influence on Norm, he really stepped up as a sort of mentor figure and knew when to give praise and when to give criticism. They had a wonderful bond with each other.

Between Dave and conan, people love to talk about who is the better late night host. And who loves norm more. It's very, extremely evident, that Dave loves Norm way more. And of course, Dave is a way better host than norm. Conan is a comedian trying to be a host. While Dave is a host who dabbled in comedy.
