From 1993-1996, the greatest tv show of all time!!! Maybe '93-'97

I've been looking for a video with the old letterman Late Show intro, when he first came to CBS. And the old backdrop too. Good stuff, brings back memories!

Dave never should've changed the set and kept the original opening and closing theme.

@@johnsonwaite9865 I did like the second CBS theme he used. Harkened back to his NBC days. When they changed it again to where the horns had more prominence, I thought it lost some of its coolness. For some reason, that second theme made you feel like you were watching something you'd not want to let your parents know you were watching because it had that edge while being contemporary at the same time.

This must've been one of Alan Kalter's first shows as announcer (IIRC, Bill Wendell retired around '95)

TVTestKitchen Yea, I remember when Bill Wendell retired, ironically, it happened around the same time as Leno's Grant Hugh thing, the Oscars. For me, the show took on a different tone just from that announcing change. It just seemed flatter, and less 'joivial'.

John Lee Initially, Kalter was told that his role as announcer would be off-camera. He’d be on camera quite regularly, as fate would have it.
