Now it finally makes sense why human beings destroy everything natural and worship anything artificial while wanring to hold on to life or live forever.

Caveats: <it will be like being a squid on us nuc boat(nuclear submarine). will need qualifications to be a member of the crew. one mistake by one squid kills everyone(non-qual pukes live in the torpedo room until they are signed off)> <everyone wears a dosimeter 24/7/365(?), it will predict your lifespan on mars> <no one goes to mars, except with bachelors of science degree(s); no high school diploma, nor associate degrees allowed> <there must be coffee and whiskey, or nothing will get done in space> <it will be dangerous and tough, stay home if you think you might die doing your job, etc.>

That sure is pretty, but I’m afraid Earth will have to go through another dark age before we get there. I know Mr. Musk is trying to outrace this dark age, but I don’t see much hope for it. Sorry, but between the people who are trying to destroy western civilization from within, see Mallory Mellott, and hostile forces without, China, Russia, Islam; I don’t see much hope short term.

A cold fact is that those who build this will suffer horrible consequences so that others can live comfortably in the future.

Why don't you build it on Earth? It is a lot nearer, easier on logistics, plenty of caves and craters all around the place, and whatever disaster hits, Earth will still be more human friendly than Mars.

This is very doubtful…and many things are not even close in aspects of time…anyway….if humans will survive and be here still in 2068 it’s gonna be interesting then….

What I think is there will be multiple ships towards the Centauri B as the decades pass. IMO, a new ship will starts it journey towards the Centauri B every 20 years with improved technology when it comes to the engine, the habitat, the biology and a lot more. It is also possible that a ship launched after 50 years of the first ship will be able to reach the Centauri B in just 50 years. Meaning, both of them reach at the 100th year form the launch of 1st ship. Also, dropping communication satellites in between the interstellar might be of some use.

Time does not exist outside our solar system. Once you blast out, you remain the same and never age. You body chemistry changes and no need for biology and chemistry. The laws of physics change. Don't listen to me. I have no idea what I am doing here. Although I did stay at a holiday inn last night.
