Two Wheels Three Sheets

Two Wheels Three Sheets

"Two Wheels Three Sheets" is a chronicle of our life living abroad & motorcycling round the world, 2 up on a Honda Africa Twin. After riding solo from my hometown of Los Angeles, California in late 2018, I was joined by Rose in Santiago, Chile to continue our journey south through Patagonia Chilena, to Puerto Natales, the gateway to the famed Torres Del Paine National Park (the crown jewel of Patagonia!). Amidst historic social unrest in Chile, the COVID-19 pandemic, and a prolonged legal battle, we're working hard to save our craft brewery & restaurant, Cerveza Baguales, I founded in 2006.

In the face of an uncertain financial future, and a global health crisis that may forever change the face of overland travel, we struggle to maintain our sanity and forge a path forward, hoping to fulfill our dream of "Adventure Riding" & sailing around the world.

    Ever since the cemetery in Salta I've been thinking about this. You say grave robbers but have you considered it may be an inside job? Llama fetuses (feti?) pack some powerful ju-ju. Or so I've heard from someone who claims personal knowledge. Is it at all possible that those graves were not broken into at all? Rather they were broken out of? And a body poured directly into the foundation? Yikes. I've a friend who installs septic tanks who always puts a dead cat (or other road kill) into the vault before covering over. Says it primes the system to digest....well, whatever might come through the pipe. A body in the basement though, that's just a step too far and downright creepy.

  • @TwoWheelsThreeSheets
    @TwoWheelsThreeSheets3 күн бұрын

    Well, I've heard various stories but so far none of them involve zombies... From what I understand, some of the skulls are come about "honestly"... Apparently, graves in many Municipal cemeteries are merely "leased" for 5 years, after which the bodies are exhumed and the graves reused. The remains of those exhumed can either be claimed by the family, or "recycled" so to speak... However, the primary purpose for this practice is to free up space in crowded cemeteries. That was clearly not the intent in the graves we came across, as the headstones, crypts, and coffins remained, and only the bodies (and sometimes just the skulls themselves) removed. More of a smash and grab job if you ask me... 😬

    I have been watching your videos and they are great. Your channel is on my top 5 for sure, but I have to tell you that I am disappointed with what seems to be a role play after the crash. You were on the ground and Rose was filming you, then she is on the ground and you are filming her back... It doesn't look natural, but this is your channel and your videos. I usually keep these types of comments to myself, but I really like your channel and I thank you both for sharing these videos with all of us. Be safe and enjoy the road (or the lack of it) 😉

  • @TwoWheelsThreeSheets
    @TwoWheelsThreeSheets3 күн бұрын

    You, sir, have a keen eye! First off, thank you for the kind words and for supporting the channel. We both appreciate it! 🍻 Secondly, all of the footage as well as our reactions, etc... are genuine. There are no reenactments or roll playing. Thirdly, I do allow for a bit of "editorial license" when editing. Allow me to expain: We didn't have any actual footage of the initial crash. The GoPro wasn't running. I had been pinned under the bike and rolling around on the ground screaming (quite embarrassingly) for some time before I told Rose to start filming. Everything you saw of me sitting on the ground in front of the bike happened directly after the initial crash. The footage I used of Rose on the ground, was after one of our numerous slow speed tip overs in the sand while attempting to make it to the hostel. I edited various pieces of video from within that 90 or so minute timeframe to help illustrate the story, instead of just smash-cutting to me on the ground. The GoPro wouldn't run for more than about 30 seconds at a time due to the temperatures, so most of the actual footage we got after the crash was taken on our phones in low light, and was garbage. So we did the best we could with the footage we had to tell a compelling story. We'll never fabricate drama or lie for clicks, but I (Chad) really enjoy the editing and stort-telling process in creating these videos, so I'll always do my best to tell a compelling story. (And on occasion, be creative with my editing to help fill in the gaps.) Thanks again for all the kind words! Please hit me up with any more observations. I appreciate a keen eye! Look forward to seeing you on the next one.

    @@TwoWheelsThreeSheets thank you for replying back. I really enjoy your channel and I wish one day to be able to do the same. You both share a lot of information on the videos and that's really awesome. Your explanation helped me seeing the other side of the "story" and I am glad you didn't get offended, because of my observation. I admire your strength when faced with challenges, and the positive thinking you always have. Thanks again for sharing these videos with all of us, and for explaining to me better what happened 😉👍 You have been promoted to the top 3 😃😁

  • @TwoWheelsThreeSheets

    @joaocalatroia1735 Responding is the least we can do for someone who takes the time to watch our videos and make thoughtful comments. There are a lot of creators in our genre that unfortunately fabricate drama and resort to "overly creative" storytelling, and we certainly do not want to be thought of as one of those channels. So with that said, it's our pleasure to address any doubts you may have. Thanks again for supporting the channel! 🍻
