DEEP INTO THE BOLIVIAN SALT FLATS - SALAR DE UYUNI (S3:E58)
After visiting the famous Train Cemetery, Chad and Rose depart the crossroads of Uyuni to visit the Ojos del Salar (Eyes of the Salt Flats), Plaza de Banderas (Plaza of Flags), Palacio de Sal (the Salt Hotel), Dakar Monument, and Isla Incahuasi - the world's largest salt flats most popular destinations.
But desperate to leave the crowds behind, they venture deep into the playa... in search of sacred caves, and 3,000 year old mummies!

Another GREAT video. Too bad about the drone. My first drone, a Mavic first generation, while I was on a motorcycle ride, the vibration dislodged the gimbal/camera protection. Some of the very fragile gimbal wires broke. I tried only changing the wires but I failed, my lack of fine motor skills... So I bought a new gimbal/camera, easy plug and play. It still works today. Another drone, the air, had routine calibration problems and would not fly outside of the US. I changed the accelerometer and it worked very well since then. Until I was in the Majuro Atoll, in the middle of the pacific, on a very windy day and I got greedy, and took it up and it flew away into the lagoon and had no power to come back. The battery eventually died and it sank. LOL. Anyway, great photos, great story, can't wait to see the next chapter.

For a moment there I was thinking what could be interesting about a salt flat, how wrong I was, quite extraordinary and a amazing. Thanks guys, this was worth waiting for, what a place to visit. Surreal as it indeed is, hiking still sucks. Being so remote with absolutely nothing around makes you appreciate at least the availability of necessary things...like water, shade, etc. Something happens out there and you really are...what's the word I'm looking for...yeah, that word. Glad you're on a Honda so at least you don't have to worry about it not bringing you back. The Africa Twin is truly a remarkable machine. You are really making Honda proud. Safe travels and already waiting for the next video.

Barren, desolate, isolated, harsh, and incredibly beautiful. But no, humans will not survive there long if left to their own devices. That's exactly why I'm a Honda guy. Any bike can get you there, but a Honda will get you home!! Thanks for supporting the channel!! 🖤
Wow, great a very different adventure. Rose, your episode on a swing, suspended from one of the most iconic designs and powerful steam locomotives ever made. An articulated Garratt, built by Beyer Peacock UK. Three parts to it, water up front then boiler, last the tender; configuration 4-8-2 2-8-4 (8 being the driving wheels having weight of water and fuel directly above them, traction) Boiler in between. Take both of you especially with that UV 🙂NZ

Thinking way back to my childhood and our half train half bus 2 day journey to boarding school in Mbeya up in the highlands of Tanganyika near the border with Northern Rhodesia aka Malawi as it’s called, I digress, due the extreme gradient of the rail track I am sure we had one of these massive iconic powerful steam engines to haul us up.
Last time those trains moved DHL was in possession of them! Most epic camp site.
