You left out a very, VERY important "tip: WEAR EYE PROTECTION!!! The saw - any saw - will throw dust and small chips at your face. If you've got your eye on the cut line, you WILL get that debris in your eyes. WEAR EYE PROTECTION!!
Don't want to buy a nail gun to put up trim around my doors.. wonder if these would work or if they might just be a bit too big?
Thank you for the instructions.
This video is exactly what I needed!! Thank you❤
Great content! Very helpful to real estate professionals. Thank you for making this video, it contains so much valuable information 👍🏻
how about tapcons?
How deep do you pre drill for a 2in screw. What is the rule of thumb?
Aww shucky darn I don't know all the carpentry words. 10 years in still learning.
Nothing but the truth

I LOVE THIS VIDEO
I always check restore first no hardwood dealers near me plus got amazing deal on garden tub
Thank you for an easy to follow and understand "how to use" the CIRCULAR SAW. and safely.
So wash it right after install and then wait about 60 days to stain?
wait there's "decorative" screws? i bought some 2" zinc plated screws to hang shelves into studs, should i have used some other screw? they were right next to some brass screws.
The black diamond mark is called TJi (truss joist interval). @ 19-3/16”. The importance of measuring in feet and inches is so that the measurements can be easily transferred to a drafting scale. Drafting scales are in feet and inches.
I like using metal corner braces when attaching beams perpendicularly. The 15-degrees bolts are probably ok though.
Flip ripping on the table saw is safe if you turn off the saw while you flip. Pull ripping is not safe...too easy to bind the blade.
The old saying practice makes perfect is true. I've gotten pretty good at following the straight line, especially on shorter cuts. Long cuts are of course more difficult. One problem with corded saws is the cord getting caught on something. And then having to stretch out on really long cuts. I've about stopped using my corded saw in favor of the cordless. Problem with that is a dead battery. Extra batteries are nice so I keep two fully charged on hand. I do keep a straight edge on hand and use it sometimes. It's an aluminum two piece tool. Each piece is 4 foot and can be connected for an 8 foot. Have to clamp it to the board being cut so I don't use it often. Only when I want to be sure I get a really straight cut.
I don't like using my impact driver for drilling either. I also have both drill and impact drivers so I don't need to keep changing the bits as you said. I actually have two sets, a Ryobi and a DeWalt set. I don't use them often so the cheaper brand tools work well for me. The DeWalt set I got for a bargain price so was about the same cost as the Ryobi. The Ryobi is a little stronger but the DeWalt is a little faster. Both are pretty good.
great video, sadly I'm trying to find one for concrete ceilings and walls, do you have anything along those lines?
HOW TO TREAT IT ??
Great examples, particularly the pulling vs pushing and multiple points of contact. For most things, I use the half round blade which seems to allow me to not focus on the exact orientation of the blade to the work, less chatter and a straighter cut.
you are using the wrong bit you should be using the hammer chisel bit you can also use the masonry bit to drill holes centimeters apart to do the job more efficiently
That’s honestly a problem for the next guy in 20 years when that post start to lean with double the cement. I instead added a 4x4 anchor
Had a Makita Palm router. Heated up too much. It was recently stolen, so now I’m looking to replace it. I’ll have to think about it now.
Thanks so much! Helped me a lot
Thank you good sir 🫡, the Allen key did the job for me.
Thank you. You saved me today
Super helpful! I kept getting binding and realize now I need to prop it up 🎉
That's conventional house framing. I'm more interested in geo- domes, and earthships.
Ive never built a house. Im simply a house painter but im looking to get into capentry. not necessarily building house but at least any minor to avergage fixing or building.this guy is a very good i watched an listened the whole video.i can really take alot from this 15 min clip .good work
Just for an interesting contrast between materials being discussed and commercial-use treated lumber: I built a shade cloth frame from creosote-treated recycled utility pole cross members. I had previously used them as a garden border for at least ten years in direct contact with the ground with no sign of rot. The down side to using this treated lumber is it stinks and it rotted the shade cloth in about a year where it was in direct contact with the plastic cloth. I plan to line the upper surface of the wood with aluminum flashing and replace the cloth.
Great work ❤❤
I appreciate this video. You taught me a lot just now
Also, computer case mods! I just cut out panels for extra air flow in my old firetrap nzxt H5.
Sanding! I use it for sanding, mostly old paint out of corners or other places you get years of build up. Ive had the original Dremel model for literally 22 years, it's still running. I'm going to get one of the Dewalt's though for the fast change, because that rocks. ❤
Thanks fixed my problem
Omg. That flashlight! Annual birthday present quandary for hubby solved!!!! ❤ ❤ ❤ ❤ I love the whole video, but this wins!
I put some of their long ones inside my kitchen cabinet door to get the knives off my tiny counters. Liked it so much i did one for measuring spoons and cups, too. 😊
Thank you so much, I have many old school ways from learning about automotive paint tinting. I also understand the appropriate way to tint This type of paint. When it comes to house paint? It is very different technique. I have crashed a little with latex. Learning the concept of latex and oils such as stain as well as paints. Is crucial for anyone involved especially for professionals. I will look forward for any other videos on this subject. Once again thanks so much Mr. Carpenter.👍
For years I have had a carbon monoxide warning system near my furnace.
Great list.
How about unscrewing (pulling out a screw), impact driver or drill?
I’m gonna tell you one trade that’s always looked over. Home appliance repair technician. I own an appliance repair company and I’m always looking for techs. It pays around the same as HVAC tech.
Finally going to break down and buy a cordless drill. I have a 35 year old Craftsman corded drill that is a bullet-proof tank. My "clutch" for decades has been my forefinger.
I've using a lot of palletwood recently, for outdoor projects like bird nesting boxes, bug hotels etc. While the pallets are free to me the wood is not! There's a lot of work breaking them down, denailing etc, but that's part of the fun for me as a hobbyist. Occasionally you can score some nice timber but it's hard won!
What do you think of Olympic Elite water based stain? They claim a 25 year warranty which is probably a bogus claim to allude that the stain will last for that long.
Nice bro.. 👍.. I had 2011 Ranger .. I will do something like that..!! 👌🏻
