Thanks for checking us out. My name is Mike and I'm the owner of M&M PRECISION PAINTING, a painting business in Red Lodge Montana. I'm here to help the average person learn tips and tricks to paint like a pro. I know that sounds counter intuitive, but I enjoy helping others because some folks just can't afford the services I provide. I have a degree in Physics and was also a personal trainer but fell in love with painting due to the gratification I get via my work and going the extra mile just to wow my customers. I will try to upload a video once a week to teach people the tricks of the trade so they can do it alone.

Great video! We have always cleaned with cold water only, from now on it's soapy water. Thank you for sharing
@@kcicabinets7933 My pleasure.
Used s.w. duration on ext. house trim this spring, nice results. all brush
Hi Mike, watched your video. I have a question about the lubricant that you were using. Was wondering what kind or where do you find this lubricant and how do you apply it? Thanks for your video was very good. God bless.
One of the best explained vids I’ve seen! This helps a lot! Thanks brother!
You're welcome.
Get to the point. Enough of storytelling.
Is there any other fluids that can replace TSL when the paint store is out??
Just wantes to say, that this video is excellent. I have followed your instructions a couple of times and had zero problems. Thanks a lot!
I’m jealous of anyone who can get rolls of tape on their arm. My hands are too fat
Thanks for the no BS explanation!
top video
Krud cutter?
Man, thank you so much. I had NO idea. I gotta try that out.
Quarter size piece, I would also take sample from behind door, don't go all the way to the base & it will be easier to patch.
Thank you for the tips
your cutting in a wall, not a ceiling
Is there a difference in cleaning out the sprayer after using water based vs oil based paints? What do we use and do differently?
An oil based product such as mineral spirits is recommended when cleaning out oil based paint.
@@MMPRECISIONPAINTING so use mineral spirits and do everything you showed, then what? Water to wash out the spirits or just leave that in there until using it next time?
@@atubeviewer4942 Fill the sprayer with mineral spirits. Let the solution sit in the sprayer for a while to loosen the paint residue, then flush it out by spraying it through the nozzle. Repeat this process until the sprayer is clean. Finally, rinse with water and allow it to dry completely.
What was the color?
I went and bought frogtape. And it took the paint off. Wish i seen this video prior though😊
Is this reusable
😂thank you🥰
how to mask like a crack head
That was helpful. Thanks
This was great advice. Followed this, took my time with yellow frog tape, and ended up with a perfect line! Thanks a lot
How do i get Goo Gone off stained wood to remove paint drops? It made black spots on the mantle
Great way to clean it nice job my friend Ty for the idea
Wow, that's freaking PERFECT!!! 👍👍👍
Hey man, good video.👍👍👍 Quick question. Did you ever run into problems using the clear caulking method? And does it work with all sheens??
Thanks
Just an FYI there are instructions lining the entire inside of the box. Although i probably learned more from this video.
Those instructions suck! Trust me.
Your tips should help I used duck tape and my ceiling paint started to come off 😩😩😩
It’s so hard 😩
Awesome video! The tape & caulk method is pure genius! I think I am ready to tackle my kitchen project now. 👍
What do you do if ceiling in house was stippled after the wall was painted and you want to repaint? Popcorn is in the way and not allowing me to make a straight line? I've seen some people make a small groove with a screwdriver around ceiling but then there's wall paint on ceiling so not sure if there's another way. Thankyou!!!
Perhaps a more precise groove cut with a razor knife. It would be tedious, but would work.
This was SUPER helpful. Thank you soo much for posting this! We were painting a fireplace build late last night and I was becoming so frustrated, and almost gave up. Your trick of spraying it upside down was exactly the step we needed to make this work. Thank you x infinity!! 😁
Our paint is directly on the wall itself, can't do this without it crumbling up.
Thank you for the video. Very helpful. You make it look so easy!! If you doing a new drywall , how would you go about the spraying and back rolling? The drywall absorbs the primer so fast. Thanks again and keep on the good work!!
Same as this video except a larger scale.
@@MMPRECISIONPAINTING I found another video that you did four years ago: PRIMING NEW CONSTRUCTION - SUPER EASY! kzread.info/dash/bejne/faNlvI-upb2ulbQ.html Thank you and keep on the awesome work!!
Nah. Not even close
Ain't taping all that crap
So no real how to tips? Just try and get it as close as you can without getting any on the ceiling which I knew already. Thanks for wasting my time, I could have painted the wall in the time I watched the video.
Do you know how to apply TSL on an graco magnum x7? I can’t find any for that one at all
It doesn't have one. The pump is internal.
Definitely a subscriber...that was an awesome video, man, really nice job
Thank you man!
All that work and to not take the door handle off😢
Faster not to!
Thank you thank you and thank you 👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾
What about hardwood floors old paint
Same applies.
Three buckets works ok but I recommend using the three sea shells
Just curious but why would someone spray and backroll when they can just roll initially? It would seem less work with masking to just roll 2 coats. Does it leave less stipple with the spray or something?
It leaves no stipple with spraying. If you spray it on and need to touch it up at anytime you'll need to spray on the touch ups or it will flash and not match. I spray it on to save the time and hassle of dipping the roller and transferring it from bucket to wall, plus moving the five around.
You forgot to put the pump armor so it won’t get the inside rusted it very important
Yes, this can extend the life of your airless. I find that when doing a cost benefit analysis, I save more time and money just replace the pump when it finally does go bad. If you only use it as a diy every now and then, then It's worth it. I use mine everyday, so they never sit for long.
Thank you for this video!! Definitely faster than how i had in mind to do
You're so welcome!
wow thats impressive, would this work for dried paint and primer on a concrete driveway? i have had the driveway pressure washed multiple times but they can never get the paint spots out. ive heard laquer thinner to try with wire brush. im just really nervous about using chemical products that might make the problem worse. there are videos suggesting everything from acetone remover, vinegar, goo gone, denatured alcohol, but none of those things worked. havnt tried the laquer thinner. the pressure washer guys told me just the pressure washer using water should work but it doesnt. is the psi not strong enough or does a remover need to be used along with it? wont it create a white out of the spot that this is used on compared to the rest of the driveway? also i couldnt find the video of you staining the bricks
Yes, this stuff will probably get the concrete off your concrete lol!
Thanks!! I took down my bathroom mirror & cut from there. Very easy and works!! 👍🏾
Perfect!
