Japan by Food

ByFood makes videos that spotlight Japanese chefs and craftspeople, seasonal food trends, and local Japanese culture (with a few fun food challenges thrown into the mix)!

ABOUT BYFOOD:

ByFood is Japan’s one-stop food platform. With the most extensive variety of Japanese food experiences on the internet, byFood strives to offer rare experiences and make Japanese food accessible to more people, with options like vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, Halal, and Kosher experiences. In doing so, byFood brings locals and visitors together through food and celebrates Japanese cuisine.

ByFood also gives to children in need through our Food for Happiness Program. And you can help, too! When you book an experience on byFood, a portion of the proceeds go toward NGOs that support children in developing countries, giving them access to necessities like nutritious meals, schools, and housing.

There are many food places and many reviewers but we watch because we want to see how Shizuka reacts to these places. She really is the best presenter! Thanks for the new list of places to visit!

That's amazing the producers of Japan by Food have the resources now to hire 2 beautiful and talented presenters? I must live in the wrong country! ~ Anyway, Stephanie might sound like an Australian, but she looks more like she belongs in Hong Kong. Plus, with those weapons for fingernails she wears no over enthusiastic fan will ever dare try and get too close to the action when she is interviewing well done!

The producers of Japan by Food have decided to get Shizuka a n assistant dog in particular either a Great Dane or an Irish Wolf hound which will help our host finish off all those tasty foods she loves to try and cannot be expected to finish. Because either dog chosen will be taller than her, she will have the option to ride on its back when she is tired. No alcoholic beverages will be shared with the animal as Shizuka always has room for them. She will make Mary Poppins alias Julie Andrews very proud!

One of the best things about visiting these kinds of food malls in Japan is just exploring what's around the next corner. It's like an adventure.

this place is a tourist trap where Japanese locals don't usually eat..prices are all inflated here because they cater to foreign tourists with deep pockets due to the weak yen... There is a catch all term we use to call all the overpriced food here as "Inbound Don"

Yes, Shizuka needs to get walking -- after that food festival. So adorable, as always! My wife and I tried out some of the places on our visit in December 2023 (my 8th trip to that lovely country!) that Shizuka mentioned in some of her other videos. We need to return to Japan again! 😍

Szechuan peppercorns are the worst. They impart a bad flavour and the sensation is just unpleasant. I LOVE spice, but that stuff has nothing going for it.
