  The timing wouldn’t make sense for them to be assassins. You should have seen white eggs scattered around the tank first and then I believe it takes a couple months for the eggs to hatch. And then it takes another month for the babies to come out and be noticeable. Hopefully they’re not MTS

  I recently acquired one of these with a used tank purchase. I don't really need it, as I'm over-filtering the hell out of the tank without it. I was debating using this for chemical filtration as needed. I don't always use chemical, besides occasionally. After seeing this, I see I should consider using it as an occasional polisher as well. I bought a new micron filter & gasket for it. The existing gasket came out in pieces when I cleaned out the unit. The poor guy who gave it to me never understood how it worked. He told me he tried to use it a couple of times, but all it did was turn his water black. After getting it home, I opened the unit up & it was still full of black water (no idea how long that sat in there) & stuffed to the top with unrinsed charcoal. I actually feel bad for the guy. He spent a ton of money on top of the line parts but didn't seem to get good usage out of any of it - just from lack of researching how to use it. Anyway, thanks for the video. I searched the item & this video was suggested 2nd to Marineland's demo video.

  The corals look like they’re doing well in the 525 Brian. I do like the different colonies of the candy cane corals as well. Hopefully you’ll be able to keep your parameters in check and get good growth. Jen did a lot of BRS series topics when she was working there for a bit. Her store looks top notch and glad you live in close proximity where they could help you. 👏
