Beautiful tanks. Raising the magnesium will definitely help with your torch & hammer corals. 👍🏾

Were you trying to fix it when it wasn't broken.🤔 Looks like your on the rebound seeing the Monte turning green again ,so patience and water changes should get it stable again. They are all looking great.

A friend has exact same issue with the LED90, it was the power brick. Swap your two power bricks between the lights and see if the issue follows, if it does, it’s probably that.

Funny you mention that. after I made this video, I contacted Red Sea and they had me do that. It was the power brick and they are sending me a new one

I'd double check salinity. My corals started STN and polyp bail out. I did so many water changes. Thinking it was a nutrient or trace elements overdose issue. Long story short. My salinity pen was off. Turned out my salinity was high. Bought a hydrometer and a refractometer and found that my digital pen was way off. Fixed that and now all is good.

Thanks for the advice. My Salinity was at about 33.8 dkh. Sound like yours was high, but I'll work to get it adjusted. Also, what is STN?

It looks to me like there’s too much flow in the tank you asked for suggestions on. In my experience, frogspawn, hammers, and torches like a more gentle flow where they more of sway than get hit with direct flow.

Hey Brian, being in the saltwater side I find that stability is very important. Did some of your hammers brown jelly on you? If they did, try the KFC (Kung fu corals dip) I’ve had good luck with that. Also, maybe you want to try to inspect them for flatworms which can irritate them causing them to retract. I’ve found out personally that my LPS corals like the magnesium levels between 1400-1500 I wouldn’t be concerned about your calcium being at 485 as long as it doesn’t start to tip over 500. the corals over all look good and a lot of them are pretty resilient. 👍 sorry about your crash. Did you do an ICP test to isolate the problem?

Thanks for the info. I didn't notice any brown jelly. What should I be looking for with flatworms?

@@briansfishtanks they will mostly be on the stalk of the euphyllia and can work their way into the skeletal structure on the inside and cause irritation to the euphyllia which will cause them to retract. They’re flat and a light gray to brown in color.

First hammers and frog are NOT euphyllia. 2nd raise mag to 1500.
