Dry Creek Wrangler School

Dry Creek Wrangler School

This channel seeks to be a source of information about horses, saddles and tack, riding, training, wrangling, packing and many other related subjects.

Dewayne has been living the horse life for over 30 years, both as a professional and as a private owner. As a husband of 30 years, the father of 7 grown children and "Grumpa" to 5 grandchildren, this aspect of his life and experience cannot be separated from the reality of who he is, and makes its way into the mix as well. As a Christian with a varied and unique history in the ministry, and a sometime law enforcement officer, he also brings these life experiences to the table.

It is not the purpose of this channel to present "the" way to do anything, but rather to use simple logic and experience to try to help others who might be looking for answers. It does not always offer direct answers to certain questions, but instead humbly seeks to show a road one might go down to find the answers they need for themselves.

I can understand why he says is the hardest job in the world. But I do not like the phrasing of it. I do not believe that it is a job, it is more of a blessing and a responsibility to be a mother. It is the most precious thing in the world. And it shouldn't be called a job because most jobs are not precious, they can be important and valuable. But it does not compare to being a parent/mother. That's what I think anyway.

I am currently 17 years old. Its been a while I had been thinking of setting boundaries and pulling up the bar. I have seen so many of my friends and myself included, destroyed by the toxicity, or invariability and anxiety dating gives you.

I actually do agree with most of what you said... I just do not agree with your two genders stance because there are babies born every day that have both male and female parts. I do not think people who are born this way should be shunned. Do you think God made them the way they are by mistake?

Is motherhood still special if the baby is born with a penis a vagina and a uterus? My sister's child was this child. She identified as a woman and is now a mother. She did have her penis removed. She is a great mother and a lovely person. Do you think she is an abomination? I don't think God does because she has been blessed with a supportive family and a lot of good friends. How do you think a person like this should identify themselves? They do exist and they are not that rare? Are these children not gifts from God? Are they not human?

Hey Dwayne, my mother has always lacked in the emotional side and has struggled to show any physical either. It hasn’t changed my view at all but it’s caused issues in relationships and looking for those a mother figure you know unintentionally you know? I wanted to know if you had any thoughts or advice that could maybe help with my future relationships so I don’t mess it up with the one

Epidemic of single mothers caused by a system that validates their bad faith decisions to initiate and go through with divorce, and create a financial incentive to do it. In other words, most women who initiate divorce are NOT abused, it’s statistically not accurate to say that, yet they’re finding other reasons and many of them are lying and defaming their husbands so they can get public support for the divorce. We all have seen it and know it. They’re choosing to split their families at any cost, EVEN to the welfare of their kids who are forced to live in a split family after the divorce, EVEN when the husband wasn’t doing anything to cause the divorce. (Clearly some husbands do cause it, but it’s inaccurate to say most because the National Crime Victimization and Uniform Crime Reports do not substantiate those statistics.)

Society has “manhandled” men. Pun intended - but to the point, men have been told that they’re “toxically masculine.” After that, any accusation is a character assassination. Men haven’t lost sight of being men, or what a real woman is - they’ve chosen that to BE what they inherently are in a world that will wreck them for doing so, is something best left doing in solitude. They need to pay their bills, and don’t want to be taken for everything they have in a bad faith marriage/divorce. Don’t blame men. Blame the system for encouraging women to blame men. Dewayne is all good and all, good old pappy advice, but shows now and then the pieces that he’s out of touch with. It comes across as that older generation “talking at” everyone, as if everything is just inherently always the same. Sure, men and women are still men and women, but don’t ignore the social dynamic that’s been pushed to wreck the family unit.

I'll hold the door for anyone, it's the polite thing for me to do. If I hold the door for you Dewayne, it's out of common decency. If you don't want to hold the door for me, that's alright, but maybe one of these days you'll feel differently, maybe you won't. A lot of us are out here working to set positive examples.

I admit that I could have been a little bit more clear on that statement, but I felt like in context to what the video was saying, anybody would be able to actually think and figure out the thought that was being expressed. I was saying I would not open the door for a man For the same reason, I open the door for a woman. There’s not any reason for people to take things so personal and not sort through the context of what’s being talked about and everything that’s being said, but I guess that’s a little bit too much work.

True.. but if you wait too late divorce rates increase as well for people marrying over 30. Im not sure there is a one size fits all here, people are marrying too late nowadays. I agree that serial dating may be part of it but not the whole. Porn is to blame, and narrying early can stave off porn addiction for young men atleast. I think that Has to be considered especially as a you g christian man. The temptations are too accesible nowadays and too powerful. Also, you can tell this is girldad advice. Not bad, but a bit of a blanket statement.

Honestly hope the discussion was about respecting each other's life. Not wether they are of value. It's okay. I'm not the one to judge others either. I'm just of the thinking we are all gods children. I only hope Jesus forgives and. Let's me in those gates . I hear you.

Thank you for sharing this, I have been a single mother for both my girls, ages 34 and 19. It was very tough on me and them also because I chose to work full time to support us and my own mother during some of her life. I was very strict, hard and not so good at showing tenderness they way I would have liked to; balancing it all made me half crazy I think. My girls don't show much respect for this Motherhood. I would like to believe someday their hearts will change towards me, I love them deeply and did all I knew to do to raise them to be independent, successful, healthy young ladies. I received a text message from my oldest daughter, "happy mother's day" which is nothing more than usual, she lives about 10 min from my home. I'm sorry this is long, but I needed to share it in a place of safety. I have been hurt over the years because I know it was my own doing that causes the distance between us. the Lack of respect and no emotional attachment to me I fee is my fault. I know we do our best and hope they will love us and forgive our ways. My mom is passed two years ago, I always did special things for her to make her feel like Gold, my daughters witnessed this relationship but some how maybe dont feel I need it. anyway God is good all the time and His Grace fills me with comfort, thank you so much for what you do Uncle Dewayne! and for Momma ❤
