Just found this, wanted to share with you Dewayne - my dad got sick when I was 18, I lost him when I was 20, had to drop out of school and everything to help my mom take care of him (honored to, I loved him dearly). Since he's been gone 14 years now I've been trying to figure out life things largely alone, and there aren't hardly any men out there that will actually sit down and encourage us younger men, or teach us. Videos like this make me feel cared for and it's nice to learn from an older man. Thank you.

You are a true “man.” Caring for your mother and taking your father’s responsibility for any measure of time is truly a selfless act expressing what being a “man” is all about. No matter how long it has been I am sorry for your loss but fight on and learn what you must.

I'm fairy young, I'm in my early teens but this stuff I have heard of but I live in the city so hearing and seeing stuff like this is a breath of fresh air when I see druggies and wannabe gangsters daily at my high-school. It's kinda depressing seeing them behave like that and even say I'm using steroids just cause I look muscular when all I do is lift a few times a week consistently and eat a fairly traditional diet. God America is going the wrong way.

I learned how to cook as a man from watching my grandma and grandpa in the kitchen. The reason I subscribed was you had wisdom in your words like my grandfather. So many men and women need guidance today and you’re someone who can help them in simple ways from your videos. 🙏🏽

That's how I was my grandpa used to always cook the dinner and I would watch him my grandma would cook breakfast and I would watch her and then my mom was really good person to learn cooking from and she used to love watching cooking shows back when I was growing up in the 80s and 90s. I took everything I learned and then put my own twist into different things. At this point I can pretty much cook anything can I make up a lot of recipes with no cookbook I can just go through what's in the kitchen and what would go well together and just create something because I grew up poor and that's a survival skill that you need to know.
I’m up at 4:30 most every day. Sit with a cup of coffee. Cook my breakfast of eggs and sausage or bacon. Sometimes fried and sometimes scrambled. I scramble them same as you, but I need to add the whipping cream. I put my cheese in as soon as I pour the eggs into the skillet. Melts and blends in thoroughly. No bread. No carbs.

Hey, same here buddy. 4:30 in the morning, I switched to an " american breakfast " in the last 6 months because in France, we have that bad habit of typically eating sweet stuff in the morning. Sugar does no good, plus there is a natural boost in glucose from our body, proeuced by the liver, before we wake up to help us get going, more sugar just results in a spike which leaves us with a down a few hours later, as opposed to good fat and proteins. And a whole fruit at the end of the breakfast. No juice. I go back to my French soul for the rest of the day but starting with sugar in the morning is really bad, I've noticed how it determines the rest of the day.

Sounds good, but carbs aren’t bad for you, at all. Vegetables, fruit, beans etc. aren’t hurting anyone, unless it’s the only thing you eat.
Should definitely do more simple cooking videos with a variety of these simple meals. The food looks great and you drop great knowledge in your cooking videos.
The biggest lessons are in the simple things of life. God bless you and your family 🙌
“Don’t be a slave to time” great words right there
i love somebody teaching people that cooking is not in fact scary
In my opinion, no young person should leave home without these basic skills. I am thankful that my mother and father taught me how to cook and clean. It has helped me throughout my life and in the raising of my own children. I learned something here too. Never seen eggs cracked on the inside of the bowl, but it makes perfect sense. Alot of wisdom shared here about patience and doing things right. Nicely done Sir!

I loved watching you in the kitchen Dwayne it’s so different from what I normally see you doing. It’s good to see a good man cooking a good meal not just leaving it for mama. I loved your skillet and how well seasoned it is, it was a site of beauty! Mama You do a great job on that camera. Don’t let anybody tell you different.❤

I remember that campfire cooking video. Loved it! Glad to see you back cooking again. Incredible how much you can learn about life from preparing a meal.
I wanna see more of Dwayne's recipes. Here in Brazil countryside's workers before going to the coffee fields prepare and store their food (usually rice, beans, meat and potatoes) in an "aluminium lunch pail" called "marmita". They often wrap it up with a dishcloth to keep It warm until lunchtime. When they arrive at the field they eat a bit of that around 6:30 a.m. and the other part they eat around 11 a.m.
Dewayne, thank you so much for sharing so many life skills and lessons with your followers. Your calm and steady demeanor, with your willingness to help others sets an example I am excited to follow as I grow older. Thank you.

Another way to do it is just chip the narrow end of the egg on the rim of the bowl only enough to get it started. Then lift off that cap over the bowl and the egg will pour out without making a mess and no shell bits will end up in the egg.
I learned how to cook from a young age from my mom. I never had to rely on anyone to cook for me since I was young. Now that I’m in my 20s, when nobody is around, I can always cook something for myself
Thank you sir, I respect the heck out of you and you are a great man.
I love your skillet cooking. As a family we’ve cooked on campfire skillet after watching that video you did a few years back. Thank you sir.
Never understood when people say cooking is hard, I’m 17 and I taught my self how to cook when I was 15. For most meals, crank the heat up to medium, flip and stir your food here and there and just take it out once you have a nice brown color. And for the seasoning really all you’ll ever need is some Salt, Black Pepper, Garlic Powder, and Paprika.

“Pride and slave to time” Thanks Cowboy
Dewayne, that cowboy breakfast lays a good foundation for a day of hard work. I have my own adaptation of this recipe. I use Tennessee Pride Country Sausage (Hot) and three eggs scrambled in a little whole milk. I add some diced sweet onion and diced tomatoes along with some grated sharp cheddar cheese. Plate it up and add a little Texas Pete Hot Sauce. A cup of strong, black camp coffee and I’ve got one of my favorite breakfast meals. I greatly appreciate you sharing your cowboy breakfast this morning.

I make basically the same thing every day. Quick, easy, filling and affordable! Good way to use up leftover vegetables from dinner too like peppers, mushrooms, onion and tomatoes. Ill crack 3 eggs in the morning and will be full till super time
Have a good one Dwain and thank you for the video! It's not about the recipe but more about the lifestyle example.
This was incredibly relaxing to watch
I've found patience along with intentional movements with almost anything in life have served me well. This breakfast is a great example! It's counterintuitive to not eat everything (or anything) out of a microwave, but the many levels of satisfaction from chopping, cooking, waiting, timing, cleaning -as-I-go, a little trial and error with temperatures/ingredients/etc, it all makes the final dish taste great. Food done así feeds not only the body, but the soul!✊🤝
Im a 24F in sydney aus never been on anything like a ranch and this channel is still interesting and informative, good advice too.

Dewayne - Hey man, thanks for the good cooking show today. I am stuck in the city for work, but this really put me back in the cabin sights sounds and I swear I could smell the kitchen. It was encouragement to make myself lunch today and skip my microwave goto. Thanks buddy!
That looked great, Dwayne. I like to taste my food, too, and for the most part use butter, salt, and pepper to do any flavor enhancing and browning. Thanks for another food video. God bless you and mamma. Hey, Mamma.
My grandfather also called his wife 'mama'. I always found it endearing and just genuinely respectful.
Thanks Dewayne & Momma. Saw the Wrangler coffee on the counter ☕😊 That's how I make my eggs ... I put in some cream to make it creamy, but learned that some folks put in water, to make it fluffier. To each his own. Have a great week!

My wife is lactose intolerant, so I use about 1/4 cup water with 2-3 eggs. To a hot skillet add 1/4 tsp olive oil, crushed clove fresh ajo add diced onion (1/8 inch), diced bell pepper (1/4 cup), diced tomato (1/4 cup) and the broken corn chips from the bottom of the bag. Two plates of Migas.
I will eat it like you made, for sure, but if I have fresh veggies, I have been known to add chopped mushrooms, chopped onion, minced garlic or garlic powder, chopped green, orange, or yellow pepper, and even some leaf baby spinach. So good! Nancy from Arkansas

Wonderful video!
correct me but has he just showed me how to make an omelette or what
My mom taught me how to cook mostly and I am so grateful for her. My dad was one of those types who'd only put stuff in the microwave and drink exclusively soda. He wouldn't even get frozen pizza that you put in the oven, that was too advanced. We got fast food a lot too and I wonder how I didn't become a fat kid because I always ate terribly. My mom taught me a bunch of simple recipes and always helped me find more online or in cook books. Now that I've moved out, I realize how valuable it is. My apartment doesn't come with a microwave and I haven't once missed it since! I don't have many friends in my new area yet but sometimes I have people come over and I cook a good meal for them. It makes me so happy to share my food with people. My favorite things to cook are soups and curries. I'd love to see more cooking videos and kitchen tips from you Dewayne. Thank you for all your videos, they have significantly improved my life.
