Thank you for that lesson. It was spot on in describing the purpose of worship. It also reminded me of how to prepare before we gather that starts during the week and not the weekend. I've been inspired and encouraged by your authenticity of the word, as you explained it in His word. I myself have a desire to teach and share the gospel with others, so please pray for me as I seek His counsel for guidance and to have the right mind and attitude to take on this task. You have to love God and the people of God more than yourself to be useful in helping people understand and come into the knowledge of God. Joes, CO population around 80. Travel to another town to come together to glorify God, like minded, in Spirit and in Truth. A subject I have been struggling with. I am so tired and disgusted with excuses excepted and so easily when "brethren" aren't prepared or come together. I'm tired of hearing "let's bring people to church" - we sb going and making disciples that become our brothers and sister and we worship with like minded Christians. I'm flabbergasted when "anyone" is served the Lord's Supper. I'm floored when the elders wife after talking a few times with someone new to the congregation can tell me what state they're from, what job they have, etc but think it's fine that they HAVE NO CLUE as to the date of that oersona souls, if they've been added to the Lord's body, etc. I'm so tired of lukewarm participation/attitude/expectations. I'm tired of "adding to the Scriptures" but proclaiming we only speak where the Bible speaks. Example: 10:50 am "children's worship" in the auditorium with adults as spectators just as if you're at a school program. Clapping when they are done. God's Word rains down on everyone and each receives what they can handle. "concluding" worship and making announcements and singing Happy birthday or happy anniversary. What gives. I understand some churches of Christ are ok with instruments. Why do we preach about the name but call ourselves the " 'name of town' Church of Christ" rather than a church of Christ meets here. or church if Christ - 'name of town', CO Why do I get looked at like I'm crazy when these things bother me or surprise me or depress me? Why does the elders wife encourage a booklet Bible study by a women preacher of both men and women ... Beth Moore. Why is it when you're absent, no one calls or when there is a baptism there are no follow up studies? Why is it ok for the children to run around, talk and plan on the isle? Where is the respect and sanctification for worshipping God! I am so thankful for this lesson. I'm not crazy or " to serious/strict/hard taskmaster"... Rarely does anyone cry or come forward. Thank you ❤️

Timely teaching at a time when so many churches are scheduling performances. I gotta be honest - I knew we were going downhill when churches started turning down the lights in the sanctuary during worship. It grieves my heart to hear song leaders call their song service a "set " My father used to caution us to be VERY careful to guard the church and our worship from worldliness. Few understood at the time. Corporate worship is mandated, but our experience is very much so personal. I try to get as close as I can to the front to avoid the GROWN people strollin, scrolling, and playing Words with Friends. I had an elderly cousin who used to say in reference to focusing in corporate worship: "Sometimes I gotta get by myself." God bless the angel of NCCOC.

The church of Christ is without DISTINCTION of Gender, Class or COLOR of SKIN. in other words you are male alor female in the CHURCH of CHRIST; and you must BEAR FRUIT, sinners worthy of repentance to replenish the earth. The more the merrier or BLESSED. JESUS is your husband in the Church of Christ. He rules and all must walk by his authority. No BIG I's and LITTLE U"s. and, in the Church of Christ the black brotherhood / brotherhood is effectively dropped. WE ARE ALL ONE IN the Lord's House. WE are a ROYAL PRIESTHOOD; and, JESUS IS THE HIGH PRIEST. Pray that all men will understand that we are PECULIAR PEOPLE; and, LIVELY STONES: CHILDREN of GOD. Because we LOVE the BROTHERHOOD.👁️

I want to agree with the message but would like to know the context. Any links or insight to what caused this response? Christ's church needs no apology. However, I can imagine a few circumstances where so many of us can cause offense that there'd be a felt need to express it as a general apology for all who bear the name as the conduct has put a bad light on us all. Included in that should be a clear distinction that our actions were not reflective or endorsed by the church at large and then followed by an apology to the church and of course to Christ (repentance) for misrepresenting the bride of Christ.

Everyone does not go to hell. However, everyone goes to Hades, in which, there is a great gulf fixed. He has to know this. Luke 16: 23-24. Although the KJV does say Hell, we have to know it wasn't translated, correctly.

Amen brother, this really reminded me on how when I’m around my coworkers and I hang around them for a certain amount of time, although I do love them but I can’t stand how they talk or what they talk about so I eventually leave that area, hopefully by me being a Christian I will be able to bring them to Christ 🙏🏾
