So many amazing ideas flowing because of this video! And I don’t have a freeze drier…yet. I have a huge bush of Thai basil in my garden, and I so badly wanted to hand it through the screen. I am inspired to make Pho broth and freeze dry it!! There is a super simple, super delicious recipe for making it in the Instant Pot on KZread. That would be a game changer for me. 🥰 I look forward to learning more from your channel. Especially about herbs.

In Greece, St. John’s Wort infused olive oil is seen as a cure all for almost anything. It is ingested about 1/2 teaspoon, and used topically.

I love this woman and her energy. What a great, natural teacher, I have used the wild lettuce. After creating the tar, you put it in the oven to dry it. Make a powder and put it in capsules. Easier to use that way. It is a bit is a process, but worth the effort.

Western medicine forces the body and pressures it to submit to it's demands to a often huge determination to the rest of the body, while herbilism work more in line with the body to boost what the body already does for itself to some degree. Herbilism supports awhile pharmacy meds force. At least that's the way I always point out. Is there a place for pharmacy meds sure there is, but 90 percent of it is not needed.

Funny enough the medical side is a big deal for me it don't frighten me. If anything it just drew me in just as much as a simple guide would too.

Bitter also helps with sugar addiction. Seriously I don't think humans don't get enough bitter items in there lives. In eating and tonics even. It's like a missing link in the human pallet so much so that most people don't even slightly appreciate bitter items. Most bitter items are good for you especially during times of year when you eat seasonally. Eating carb heavy during winter there's nothing better than early spring bitters to help your gut move from winter eating to spring and summer eating and our microbiome changes with the seasons!

Another thing i didn't think of til i saw you rubbing the leaf on you and smelling it... When the same son was little. Like maybe 2, he's 15 now, he was walking around in the yard. And i kept hearing him breath in and say Mmmmmm, Nemons. After about the 5th time of hearing Mmmm Nemons i got curious. I asked him what he was doing. He came over to me, breathed in deeply and said, "Nemons." And i caught the tiniest piece of green sticking out of his nose. He had picked 2 lemon balm leaves and put them up each side of his nose. So every time he breathed in, he was smelling them 🤣 Thank God poison ivy doesn't smell like lemons!!!

You have encouraged me to forage 😊 I was amazed at the abundance of useable plants we found just in our back yard! From catnip to plantain and wild lettuce! The kids had so much fun examining the plants and looking them up to identify. They want to go for a walk now to see what else we can find. Thank you for your encouragement and your laid back attitude it really helps to have fun with it!

Thanks to you and other channels like yours (not as good tho!😉) I'm having a totally different experience when I'm fishing at my local lake. I'm noticing all the different plants around me and doing my best to identify them. Yesterday I discovered Catnip with purple flowers something never even noticed in the 30 years I've been fishing there. Thank you for opening my eyes to the abundance all around me!💚

I transplant all my plants; I find them in the wild. 1st. Use a sharp pointed shovel. 2nd. Dig a circle around the plant as wide as its leaves, keeping the shovel at approx. a 75-degree angle. 3rd. Gently work the shovel up & down until the plant is lose. 4th. Lift the plant up using the shovel & put it in a pot, or a wheel barrel & take them to where you are going to set them. 5th. Get the plants back in the ground asap. Set them in a hole so the bottom of the plant is above ground. (Water soil first if soil is dry).

during covid lockdowns I had to help a friend with a black widow bite. Plantain was all we had. It worked better than I had expected. but we used it as a poultice and a tea. In a normal situation GO TO THE ER! We were LUCKY!!! But if you cant get to an ER right away ya get this on it to help! But for the love of all things Get to an ER! I happen to be a certified herbalist. if we had not used enough my friend may have had a different result! so you ask how much is enough? I honestly dont know. We were Lucky!!!! any other time I would have skipped the plant all together and just got to the ER as fast as possible! but if your Hiking in the woods and its going to take you hours to get to a car use the plantain if you have it available!!

Hey there it is a different type of latex. Wild lettuce produces a substance called lactucarium. The latex you are talking about is more common to the proteins in the Hevea (rubber tree) plant.

The only wild lettuce we have is Florida Blue Lettuce. I wish it was wild lettuce, because they grow to be 8-10 feet! I have 2 Passion Flowers growing--actually, not growing ☹️ I don't think they like it here. They were about 6-8 inches tall when they came, and they haven't gotten any bigger. One of them is kind of wilty-looking. They also are not the correct species, and I knew that when I bought them. It was an experiment 🤷‍♀️
