Switzerland's most popular native-English-language guns & shooting channel! Probably. Maybe. I guess.
A somewhat off-the-wall and tongue-in-cheek look at firearms, military history and shooting, and a jolly good tilt at the windmills of fuddlore to go with it.
And the odd off-topic vid about Switzerland, or whatever happens to take our fancy. Most off-topic vids are here: kzread.info/dron/DrzbsQk9HY0gU__-VuPEKw.html guitar setups, skiing, cheese, and other nonsense.

That training film had some extremely British-Imperial music going on. Weird!
Also, with the butt folded, it makes a very useful club. The Lanchester was a waste of time ( I used that too) Former Royal Marine...
I bought an astra constable just because I thought it looked like a Walther.
👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏🎆🎆🎆🎆🎆🎆🎆🎆🎆👍👍👍👍👍👍🎊🎊🎊🎊🎊🎊🎊
Wonder if the left side charge AR has to do with the old, “keep your trigger hand on that grip, soldier!” Despite that…US straight pull AR’s are mostly right side charging.
Do you have a video of your shooting the challenge? Are you stating no squeeze bag? Bipod legal?
loads of vids out there now, search for 1MADL. You can have a squeeze bag. Yes, bipod is legal (rules are linked in the description)
Indonesian bullet....?
AD headstamp, and the only reference I've found to that is the govt factory in Indonesia
I've never owned an HP. Not sure if I ever even fired one but I had a somewhat romanticized idea about it. Your HP series has cured me of it. I never realized just how wonky the magazine disconnect and the FCG were.
Will this fit on any lower?
Yes. Obvs you'd need the usual adaptors for the old-style Colt lowers (SP-1 etc.)
The total destruction that the UK government claims will be caused by allowing citizens to own guns is shown here at the end. It's a good thing your betters keep you safe.
I've been using a couple Tikka T3 Lite's in 6.5 x 55 for competition and hunting..... I have been asked if I was shooting a semi because of how quickly the bolt can be thrown.
Would love your thoughts on the Arisaka rifle family. They seem to have taken a lot of design cues from your beloved SMLE but with a different attitude towards the sights.
I'd be interested to know what you think the design cues are
Are you actually drinking Weizen out of the bottle?
The magazine well to receiver sleeve weld is a MIG weld not an acetylene/oxy. weld. MIG welding started in 1948.
Damn, wish I had target frames that move like that.
Long live the 303 Lee Enfield.
The weirdest S&M shooting bench I’ve ever seen in my life. Bloke on the range is a mighty fine practical joker.
Where did you get that rifle? Is it a Baker and is that a brass barrel??? Great video!! Just subscribed.
100% accurate reproduction made by Peter Dyson & Son. The barrel finish is a slightly translucent brown so I guess it can look like tarnished brass 😊. Happy to have you with us
Open, it’s cheaper 😂
when I googled for nipple adapter I got weird results
I day late, had a few Questions, but this is great, keep it coming Bloke
Why does the man that shoots Lee Enfield turn up dressed in German gear… And it’s suggested Empire…??? Falsch ja ??
Im very new to the Lee Enfield, haven't had my no 4 mk 2 for all that long. Finding the bloke on the range videos super helpful...I am in Australia and the only ammo I can get where I live is PPU. I choose the 150 grain and it is surprisingly consistent. I have a black carbon reset target with a 12 inch disc and I shoot that at 300 meters when I am at the range..the fact that I hit it so consistently amazes me as I can barely see it depending on the light conditions. I do have a constant rim jam problem with these rounds, I load my clips staggered as suggested..first 5 go in perfect no rim jam on the the top round..however..the next 5 always go in with a rim jam on the top round..I have never tried forcing it to go by shoving the bolt foward...I will try that however. Learned just recently to stagger my rounds and be sure to mark the top of the clip. Working up to having some fun with a mad minute test...did not think I was ever going to be able to do that because of the rim jam problem, thought it was the rifle...but its probably the PPU rounds..so thanks to the videos from BOTR, I know what to do now..
Hey does anyone know what happened to gunnut357mag?
Bravo to the University of Wallamaloo!! Crack Two!
Ah. Philosophers, such sophisticated men! I'd like to know where Bloke procured his Sir Garnet from. Looks suspiciously like the one I have which was made in Vietnam.
I think I ordered it from one of the UK re-enactment webshops or AliExpress or something. It's made in VN indeed.
Lovely guy - would like to hear more from him.
Not a fan at all of the Trail. Few modern rifle makers have a good understanding of bolt handle positioning and CZ appears to not be one of them. Also don’t like the pistol grip for quick shooting.
My mod to the handle is a game-changer, it's epic now. Agree 100% with the pistol grip.
Great to see Rowan again!
Awesome guest, the most shocking thing for me was that you think that the trail can be run quicker than an Enfield. The trail I’ve used feels a lot more awkward to use. More a case of lift the bolt which moves the gun then pull back, push forward and down. As opposed to an enfield which is more of a two stage process. I’m looking forward to the mad minute.
The handle mod I did is a gamechanger.
Orde Wingate 😮
Love the musical ending
I wonder could the bolt on a Sten be opened up to take sterling mags? The worst part of the Sten is the MP28 magazine design reverse enginieered and made by trash can companys.
Possibly.
I realize ignorance is the primary and secondary driver of firearms regulations, but there has to be hundreds of thousands of cases of unnecessary hearing loss because Hollywood has convinced people that suppressors are scary. Suppressors should be industry standard on newly manufactured firearms. Guns being loud doesn't make them less lethal it just increases everyone's taxes to pay for deaf veterans, law enforcement and hunters.
If he's staying at the Canadian Pavilion he definitely wont be slumming it.... Fultons on the other hand will be an "experience"
And I thought Canadian gun laws were stupid & arbitrary, Australia said "Hold my beer".
With the Pith Helmet and the Beard, Bloke looks remarkably like Orde Wingate.
And a certain gleam in the eye ...
1:00:28 You are doing it like a draftee on the old days.
Going to Lithgow small arms factory museum this week, i was going to see if they would bring out the Pratt and Whitney produced SMLE. Will try get footage of some other cool stuff.
So, BCL in Canada, before you get your hopes up, they don't have the best reputation, seems a bit of a tossup if you get a goodun or not. For my take on frankenrifle , I did some work to a ruger american ranch (stangag) which allowed for a partial wraparound handguard of sorts and a pic rail on the bottom for a AFG to provide better leverage against my palm. I use the 2x primary arms GLX prism and it's great for the job.
Les Hiddens was a serving Army officer. 303.22, 303.243, 303.25, 303.270.
Watch jack out the back Aussie farmer who shoots camel's and wild donkeys
Same gun
Proper job😂
So it’s legal use handguns as protection against an angry wild pig (after jumping through all the hoops and 20 appeals) but NOT against a methed out maniac set on robbing and killing you. Sad world.
