I know this is an old vlog but I follow you and watched this one today and Love your attention to detail. I have today done my waste pipes in rigid pipe and done a 10mtr hook up for when the 25mtr is too long, be interested to see how you done the wiring for the external tv point. I currently come through the window and go directly into the tv, but have an external tv point which is connected to the roof aerial.

Thanks for the compliment Nick. Being a regular viewer you will know the 10m hook up cable gets a heck of a lot more use than the 25m, so a thumbs up 👍 there. We’ve just returned from Southport where I use my rigid pipe extension along the rear of the caravan, so look out for this one ☝️. As for the tv point I had my caravan dealer fit this just after purchase because of the warranty, but in hindsight I could have fitted it myself 🪚 . On our caravan, it’s simply a tv socket in the battery box and another tv socket inside linked with a length of coaxial cable. On our next trip out I will give your question a mention regarding the tv socket and point it out. I’m guessing your external tv point is for using a tv in an awning. Thanks for watching and best regards, Rob 😀

@@robswiseways5697 Hi Rob, yes that would be great thanks, and yes the tv point outside is for watching tv in the awning which is something we never do so maybe I can do something with that point and rewire it like yours. Appreciate your reply and look forward to seeing how yours is done. We also loved your vlog on Llanberis touring park, Snowdonia and are planning a week up there this September hopefully off the back of that one so thanks for that 👍All the best, Nick

@@Nick-me7ql An idea Nick - Fit an extra tv socket where the tv sits and run new cable to the amplifier where the aerial is. Fit a connector to the end of the new cable. Disconnect the awning tv cable from the amplifier and connect to your new cable that comes from your new tv point. You can now connect from a bollard to your awning tv point which sends the signal direct to your new tv point adjacent to the tv. This way you’re not disturbing any original wiring. Hope this makes sense. Hope you have a lovely time in Llanberis, it’s a fabulous site and area. Cheers Rob

Hi Louis, It’s a 2011 Audi A6 allroad. A good compromise between an SUV and estate. It has the higher powered diesel engine, Quattro four wheel drive, self levelling air suspension and optional factory folding tow bar and this makes for a great tow car. Unfortunately Audi stopped importing the allroad into the UK in January 2022. Thanks for watching 👍 Cheers, Rob 😀

When we arrived Sunday lunch time we hit the weekend holiday makers but by the evening it had quietened down and for the rest of the week too. Nice video. We stayed here last year, we were on a pitch just outside the toilet block on your video it has a camper van on it (68). Everything got covered in tree sap, meaning everything needed a good wash when we got home including the awning and caravan roof, that was fun! All we heard whilst away was the men’s toilet door banging as people entered and left. The chemical emptying point was also the most disgusting thing I had ever seen or used. Also we found like you, people would walk through the pitch. Saying that we did book a return trip for this year and were due to go week after next, but we have since cancelled it for one reason or another.

Hello there, interesting to read someone else’s thoughts about the site. We had a look back at our video and saw where you were pitched. Maybe the annoying toilet door has been fixed now as we never heard anything. My car was covered in sap too and it did take some washing off. We do like a leafy site though so I suppose it’s to be expected. The toilet emptying point wasn’t too bad actually but a good clean wouldn’t have hurt. The site definitely needs a few signs up asking folk to respect other people’s pitch space. Hope you manage to return at some point 👍. We would definitely return during quiet times. Thanks for watching and commenting. All the best, Rob & Gail 😀

@@robswiseways5697 sounds like they might have improved things since we were there then. We did complain about the toilet door and the next day it had been propped open. The sap was awful for us, everything needed a really good clean. Yes I think signs asking people to respect peoples pitches wouldn’t hurt however I don’t think anyone would take any notice. It’s a shame we aren’t going back as I liked the little railway and thought the world’s smallest pub was really quaint! With my son starting school this year there is no way we will be able to go back during quieter times and no way am I going there during school holidays. Hello there Keith and Helen, Hope you’re both well. Thank you for your high score 😁 we’re pleased you enjoyed our latest jaunt around Cleethorpes. Our videos wouldn’t be the same without an appearance from the flask would they 😂. Gail’s the one keeping everything ship shape except for the car, garage and windows which are my domain 😂. Did reply to your email and had no bounce back so thought you received it ?? Take care both, Rob & Gail 😀

Hi Rob & Gail, Went to Cleethorpes last year when staying on Caister Lakes site, it's certainly a lot better than our last visit many years ago, The site looks nice & good price, we have only done one Haven site back in 2015 (Blue Dolphin) - worst stay we have ever had, kids screaming and running round, adults shouting ETc after midnight, so vowed never to go on a Haven site ever again, you may have just changed our mind 😊

I have to agree. I stayed at a Haven site near Great Yarmouth about 10 years ago and had a similar experience. Swore I never would go to a Haven again

Hi Andrew & Karen, We remember your Caister Lakes and Cleethorpes videos 👍. We do like the east coast and a subscriber recommended Haven Cleethorpes so we thought we’d give it a go. No regrets and we had a lovely stay there. Would recommend weekdays during school term though but we guess you know this after your Blue Dolphin experience. All the best to you both, Rob & Gail 😀

Hi Rob & Gail! Looks like you were away the same week as us; we were also on the East Coast but much further down on the otherside of The Wash. Oh those 2p machines, once the "prize" falls into the hole, you can ask the man to get it out for you, those sour belts were yours! They always seem to put prizes in that are too big to fall down! Glad you had a nice break! 😊

Hi Lily and Bruce, Hope you had a good holiday too, we do love the East Coast and Norfolk too. I did think about asking for my sweets but decided to leave them for someone else 😁. Thought I would save myself for the fish & chips and ice cream. Thanks very much for joining us again, Rob & Gail 😀

Love watching your vlogs with a view as to where to try next. Being based in Cheshire, we are definitely a Lamb Cottage couple (twice), Plassey (twice) and looking forward to trying Bridge House Marina. TBH, Haven will not be on our go to list. If you're in Cheshire again, have you tried Blakemere?

Hello there Andrew, Pleased you are continuing to follow in our footsteps and enjoying the sites we’ve previously enjoyed 👍. We do like to stay at and showcase different sites and we were actually pleasantly surprised with this one (out of school term of course). We’ve just looked at Blakemere and the first thing we spotted was the red notice asking folk to respect other people’s pitch space and not cut across. Well done Blakemere and they have gold pitches too, shame there are no photos around site. Thanks for watching and all the best, Rob & Gail 😀

Hello and thanks Colin, yes we enjoyed it all 👍 and we were very relaxed on our pitch. However we never went back to the entertainment complex but wasn’t it smart. We did hear bingo mentioned… We hung around to film the advertisement board but there was always someone there reading it. Bet it’s popular. Thanks again for tuning in and best regards, Rob & Gail 😀

Thanks very much Yvonne it really is a good feeling knowing people look forward to watching our videos. We enjoy putting them together and sharing what we learn about the area along the way. The beach was really lovely there and it was good to get some sea air again. We remember driving through Barmouth heading home from Harlech, hope you have a lovely time whatever the weather👍. Not long until our next trip. All the best, Rob & Gail 😀

Hi Rob snd Gail been waiting 0:00 ages for you to appear 😂😂 me and hubby enjoy watching you both, that site looked quite nice i deffinitly wouldn't go in the school holidays though, we use to go to Haven sites with the children and stay in caravans they were always busy and quite noisy, we prefer adult only sites now although we have been to a few CAMC sites this year and had no bother with kids.keep up the good work. Thank you xx

Hello Julie, We had absolutely no idea 0*0’0” was going to appear on our walk 😂. We didn’t pay attention to the front cover of the map either 😂. Lovely to hear you’re still enjoying following our adventures. We too prefer quiet sites and we keep away from the coast during the school summer holidays. We have an adults only CL booked for August. We had a great stay at Haven and for a seaside site thought it was very nice. Thanks for your words of encouragement. Best regards, Rob & Gail 😀

Great video as always. Can I ask, how have you managed to get the Colapz pipes to fit snug into your white plastic pipe? I tried connecting Colapz pipe straight to the pipe (32mm) but there’s no way it’s staying in / watertight.

  • @robswiseways5697
    @robswiseways569717 күн бұрын

Thanks for watching and for your compliment 👍. I use a 32mm fitting on the end of the pipe. On this site I used an elbow fitting. The socket end of the Colapz fits snuggly into the fitting and the rubber O ring in the fitting provides the seal. Hope this helps. Cheers, Rob & Gail 😀
