I'd seen some of the sites in the book but had discounted them not expecting the walking to be so good from the site...soooo thanks again.

I contacted the club and they replied saying pitch refurbishment work will take place this winter including work to those darned potholes ! Thank you very much for watching and commenting. Hi Rob & Gail, fully serviced again, you two don’t rough it do ya 😂. 26.9 mpg isn’t bad, 26 is about the best I get too. Looks like a lovely site and as usual a great video. Thanks for sharing. ATB Dave & Helen 👍

Hello there Dave & Helen, Nice little site and picturesque area. I have to say our preference for a fully serviced pitch can be restricting and therefore frustrating at times. Gail’s likening it to a gluten free menu, you have to choose from what’s available ! 😠. I normally get around 25mpg but was taking it steady hence the increase 😀. Thanks for watching 👍, cheers Rob & Gail

Enjoyed that Rob, always informative your videos and show some cracking walks which is great. We’ve just had that site recommended to us by a couple we met at Wharfedale club site last weekend. If you haven’t been I think the wharfedale site at Threshfield will be right up your street. Lovely walk from nearby Grassington to Burnsall running alongside river Wharf.👍

Totally agree with the nonsense you get from the C&MC, I have had the same potholes full of water and what’s worse at the site there was a pile of type 1 that could have been used to fill the holes. Their prices are eye watering compared to Europe. We are in Portugal and have recently stayed at a five star site with outdoor and indoor pools, shop, gym, superb facilities, ehu, costing less than 25.00 euros per night. Anyways enjoy the videos and your determination in the mud 😉

Hi Derek, I got a ticking off from the warden for reversing approx 20m onto our pitch against the one way system because I didn’t want to drive through those potholes in the dark and it was pouring with rain. I explained this to him and he told me the club stopped him filling them in after a stone flirted up and hit someone. Personally I think 🤔 that’s rubbish. I agree he should have used the type 1 subbase to maintain safety on the road. By the way I contacted the club about it, I’m still waiting for a response… Never been abroad with the caravan but get what you are saying about the prices and facilities. Thank you very much for your comment 👍 and all the best, Rob & Gail

We stayed there a couple months back, cannot understand why the site is called Hebden Bridge, surely Cragg Vale more appropriate. Nice cafe in Mytholmroyd, on the bridge.

I suppose Hebden Bridge is more well known than Cragg Vale Craig. A bit crafty as Hebden is over two miles away from site. Nice part of the country though. Will look out for the cafe if we’re that way again. Thanks very much for watching 👍 and all the best, Rob & Gail

I agree about the muddy pot holes, makes a right mess of the car. If you're anything like me I bet you always park at the far end of car parks away from everyone else to avoid bumps and scratches, then when you get back to the car someone has parked right next to you. Great video as usual, keep up the good work.

Hi there Colin, I believe the reception is fairly new as well as other additions. A nice small rural site with the sound of the babbling brook. Yes great canal walk to Hebden and a lovely area to explore 👍. Site reopens on 10 March 2023. Thank you for watching and commenting, all the best Rob & Gail

Many thanks for your comment, all the best, Rob & Gail

Good one! I did a rally there in 1981 when I worked for Champion Sparking Plug Company. Each member of the sales force who had a caravan was expected to hold at least one rally for the rest of the team. Great days. I never did get upto to the pike, too late now. How many steps have you got now?!😂

Hello Peter and Susan, Really pleased you approve of our video 👍. I believe we were in your neck of the woods there. I bet the site has changed a bit since 81 ? Happy memories ay. You got some walking in back then with your flasks, shame you didn’t get to the pike. We never did purchase another step, didn’t want to be overrun with them 🤣. Although Gail moaned saying it was a most unlady like way of getting in and out the caravan ! Thanks for tuning in and all the best, Rob & Gail

Hi Rob great vid. We love Hebden Bridge site and have visited many times over the years. This year however we thought the wardens especially the male one was extremely rude and officious and we will not return until he has gone.

Hi Andrew, We soon settled in at the site and enjoyed our stay there. Probably the same warden approached me for ignoring the one way system and reversing about 20m onto our pitch. It was pitch black, pouring with rain and I wasn’t prepared to drive through those damn potholes again ! He’s retiring in another year. Thank you very much for watching and commenting 👍, Cheers Rob & Gail

Hi Jackie, You’re not the first person to point out the resemblance, made us laugh over breakfast 😂 . Hebden does have a very nice feel to it and attracts lots of visitors. Nice caravan site too if you don’t mind no facility block and I believe the rough road has now been surfaced 😁. Thank you for watching and commenting. Best regards, Rob & Gail

Hi there Keith & Helen, Sorry for the late reply, we’re away at the moment. I came off the M62 at junction 24 and onto the A629 signposted Elland. After approx 4 miles I turned onto the A646. This seems the shortest and easiest route to the M62. Good to know they’ve addressed the pothole problem ! 👍. Best regards, Rob & Gail 😀

We watched another Hebden Bridge club site video filmed three years ago and the potholes were there then ! Agree very poor 👎. We knew there were no facilities but we always use our own anyway and we’ve noticed site prices have increased more than usual this year. Thanks vey much for watching and commenting eddy 👍 All the best Rob & Gail
