    Very precise and interesting work as usual. It was so interesting to see how you pumped the water through these tiny boiler. I wonder, does it actually happen that something is put together incorrectly? Or is it easy to put it all in the right places? I guess you got to have a good sense for construction, physics and engineering in general. Nice video cutting work, too. Can't wait for the "ber-months" (September, October, November...), for it seems it's the perfect time for those works and vids. Thanks for sharing.

    Oh, nothing is eaten as hot as it is cooked😁😂😂😂. However, I've been out of practice with the hobby and editing videos for almost a year now, so a beginner's project like this was good school again 🤣🤣🤣 The pump bottle is actually for a special valve with which you can refill the kettle with steam when it is in full operation. My funnel was too big, but the hose fit 😅 Thanks for the comment!

    What type or brand of silver solder did you use?

  • @dreamsteam8272
    @dreamsteam82726 ай бұрын

    That depends on the job to be done. I don't have a special brand. The only important thing is if you heat components several times, that you start with a solder that melts at around 700-800 degrees. If you have to heat the component again in a further step, use a solder with a melting point of 500-600 degrees. This way you work back the number of steps so that areas that have already been soldered do not open again.

    Geiles teil wirklich gute Arbeit 👍. Ich hab nur eine frage. Ich habe eine wilesco dampfmaschiene und ich vermute das die Leitungen mit öl etwas verstopft sind da die maschiene unter last nicht auf ihre höchste drehzahl kommt. hättest du eine Idee wie man diese wieder rein bekommt?

  • @dreamsteam8272
    @dreamsteam82728 ай бұрын

    Danke! Zu deiner Frage: Wilesco ist nicht unbedingt für Ihre Power berühmt. Auf dem deutschen Spielwarenmarkt immernoch ein gutes Modell, was dampfmaschinen angeht, aber tatsächlich nur ein Spielzeug. Die Maschine ist keine Heißdampfmaschine und fährt mit etwas über 1 Bar. Der kessel ist daher weichgelötet. Das ist aus Sicherheitsgründen so, weil es eben Spielwaren sind. Wir müssen uns in der Welt des Modelldampf daran gewöhnen, das Wilesco eher drittklassig ist. Aber es sind schöne Maschinchen! So, zu deiner Frage. WD40 ist ein Entfetter! (Nicht wie einige glauben, ein Schmierstoff oder entroster...) man kann damit Öl und Fette entfernen. Als 2. Mittel empfehle ich Essigessenz! 2/3 Wasser in den kessel, 1/3 Essigessenz, und durchkochen... (löst auch den kalk) und der Kalk wird es eher sein..... Und das echte zaubermittel : heißdampföl verwenden! Und das nicht wegen der Schmierung. Heißdampföl ist in der Konsistenz wie Honig, es verliert bei Hitze und in Verbindung mit Wasser seine Viskosität nicht so schnell. Daher hat es bei dampfmaschinen auch primär eine dichtende Aufgabe, und sekundär eine Schmierende! Wilescos Zylinder sind energieverschwender, sie sind zu leichtgängig, damit sie mit Nassdampf fahren können. Hier liegt der größte Verlust, insbesondere bei den alten Maschinen. Nimm von Regner das heißdampföl und du wirst sehen das sie gleich ganz anders läuft! Wenn die Leitungen (bei wilesco aus messing verchromt) dicht sind wegen Kalk, dann nimm sie ab und gib ihnen ein essig oder Zitronensäure Bad. Zitronensäure bekommst du im DM von Gutmann zum anrühren als pulver in der Abteilung für hausgaltsreiniger. Lass mich wissen, was dir am Ende geholfen hat! Ich tippe eher auf das Öl... 😊 Grüße und schöne Adventszeit!

  • @paulsodfried2474
    @paulsodfried24748 ай бұрын

    @@dreamsteam8272 danke für die ausführliche Erklärung.Ich werde sie einmal entkalken und wenn das nicht hilft werde ich das WD40 probieren. Ich rate mal es sollte dabei in den öler eingefüllt werden .und ich werde zum entkalken zuerst den originalen Entkalker benutzen weil ich ihn schon ein Jahr rumliegen hab und wilesco schreibt das man keinen Essig oder sonstiges verwenden soll. Danke für die Hilfe und ebenfalls schöne Adventszeit!

    The steam dome looks to be brass. If so, for anyone reading this, brass suffors dezincification and it fails. Bronze is acceptable but never brass on any bushing, or brazed component of a boiler

  • @dreamsteam8272
    @dreamsteam82728 ай бұрын

    In this case, i change the parts to bronze, because of the copper boiler! but if you use a brass boiler, than you can use brass bushings! The problem with brass is only in conection to copper parts. Electrolysis does the dezincification! Many steam models come in brass, but only when they also use only brass for boilers and more!

    I must ask, I don't quite understand the arrangement of the flues, why do you both have a pair of large flues (where the burners are placed?) and those smaller flues?

  • @dreamsteam8272
    @dreamsteam8272 Жыл бұрын

    The small flues in the burner section get in direct contact with the flames over the burner, so they act like a super-heater. The larger ones going from the burner through the boiler, as regular smoke pipes, so that the heat from the burner goes through the boiler and through the water. If you need plans for, just send me a PM to [email protected]
