    Is there where they made a few episodes off Dallas in the Eighties?

  • @exploringthroughmyPOV
    @exploringthroughmyPOVАй бұрын

    I looked into that and couldn't find anything about Dallas being filmed there. According to Wikipedia, most of that show was filmed on location in Texas. Right around the cities of Frisco, Dallas and Parker. Alot of the interior shots of that show were filmed at MGM Studios in Culver City, California.

    My father’s home town. His father, grandfather and other family members were coal miners at the Bon Jellico mine. His mother was raised in the Bon Jellico coal camp, her father ran the steam plant and sawmill. Many of my Appalachian hillbilly ancestors are buried in the holler cemeteries (Marsh Creek, Jellico Creek)…I was born and raised in Philadelphia PA.

    I’m a Huntington resident. I loved this video it highlighted some of the better aspects of my city. It has been struck with the drug-bug and has gone downhill but it really is nice compared to a lot of WV mostly because of Marshall being there. Come nightfall it is a zombie land though unless there is an event downtown. Thanks for visiting next time I’d have some tips on what to do

    Beautiful and quaint town and I just love it's simplicity. Me and my husband lives in Summerville, SC and our town has grown exponentially in the couple of years it's insane. We always pass through Landrum on the way to the mountains. It might be a good place to move up to in the future, we love the mountains but we prefer flat road. Thanks for the video.

    I grew up in Cincinnati and loved to watch heat lightning growing up. Been in Oregon for years, they don't have it here, people think I'm nuts when I try to describe it. I miss it.

    I'm not much of a fisherman myself, but I'd say there is. The Tennessee River runs through L.C. if you don't have much luck there, you have several other places not too far away that probably are.

    The shooting took place at the new RC courthouse on Aug. 9, 2005. I remember walking into my bank on Palm Beach in south Florida.. and looking up at the silent TV screen and seeing the building, thinking ... "That looks like the Roane County Courthouse.... wonder what's goin on there??" At 4:47, on the left, just above that blue BMW, is the front porch of Kingston's oldest private home, the (Col.) Gideon Morgan House. For years, it was owned by Bob and Mildred Delaney. Mrs. Delaney was the RCHS Home Economics instructor back in the '70's when I was in school - a lovely lady with a heart of gold. A great town to grow up in.

    37,000 is a misleading city population number because SC has strict annexation laws. The metro population is about 197,000. Spartanburg County has a population of about 328,000.

    😅 I grew up there on South chambling street... as a kid we used to explore Billy goats Cave.. The Funniest THING to do is look for fossils And swing on tree vines when I was a kid. Also in the winter we used to take our sledge like 30 kids and get on top of the Hill behind the hospital and slide all the way down to the interstate We had a kid pushed the traffic crosswalk so we could all slide through the intersection Thank you for your video

    This is the poorest place in Virginia. The average median income is less than $18k. I live in Virginia Beach and make more money in a month than they do in a year. I don't understand how people can make it there. You should check out Danville, Emporia and Galax if you're trying to see the worst places in Virginia. Norfolk and Portsmouth are also on the rougher side of things as far as Virginia goes.There aren't many really bad places here in Virginia. I was born and raised here, and God willing I'll die here.

    What is shown in the first minute or two is the Nina Simone "plaza," which isn't very big at all. So don't be expecting a museum, shopping center, or anything extravagant. I've seen comments online expressing disappointment in the Nina Simone plaza. There's not much to it.
