My Grandparents ran a pay fishing lake in Hurricane in the 70`s also my Aunt ran one in St. Albans, that doubled as a Drive Inn theater. I never really lived in W.V. but it holds my heart.

I live in Huntington and have never heard Hurricane referred to as part of the Huntington Metropolitan area. News to me, child!😛

Yes, i agree. Barboursville would qualify as part of Huntington metropolitan area. Not Hurricane.

Hurricane was not a part of the Huntington Metropolitan area back in the 90's; it was part of the Charleston or Kanawha county zone. At some point in the 2000's it was changed to the Huntington Metropolitan area. Im sure many people didn't know about the change. Also, Hurricane is almost right in between Huntington and Charleston and both cities are equally accessible...depending on road work!
