Great job capturing the essence of what Murphy North Carolina has to offer I love that area have visited many times the pass 20 years and will continue to do so I had once owned property out on Candy mountain and Shoal Creek road area but eventually retired full-time down in Florida I do miss it thanks again for sharing.

Thanks for this! I’m going to Murphy for a weekend next month and had no idea the downtown was so nice! Like you, I’ve always taken the bypass around it.

It really is a lovely little downtown area. If you're hungry, check out Chevelle 66. It is slightly pricey, but the staff are very friendly and the food is pretty good. Thank you so much for watching and I hope you enjoy your trip! 😊

Finally, got to see the town of Murphy. Bypass it on the way to the Casino and will have to take a tour next time to check out the interesting places you point out. Now I know why a few people I know from Florida picked this town for retirement. Enjoyed the tour! Thanks for sharing.

I enjoyed your tour of Murphy. I like this part of North Carolina because it is not as touristy. I toured around Murphy last fall, strolling along the River walk and found it delightful. The town is very charming. I could seriously consider retiring around this area. Thank you for a wonderful tour.

I definitely agree! Even with their being a casino there, I dont feel like it's overpopulated at all. Thank you for watching! I'm so glad you enjoyed it.

Do you remember what dirt road that is where you were driving by powerlines at the start of the video then turned onto blacktop? I’d like to take that little drive

Yes I do. It's called the Unicoi Tpke, or Forest Rd 40 in Coker Creek, TN. It's right there at the Coker Creek welcome center. I will warn you to make sure that you have a full gas tank and that your tires aren't low. While it is a beautiful drive, it goes on for a long time and can be slightly rough in some spots. I would make sure that you're not in a vehicle that is super low to the ground. My Hyundai Santa Fe did great, but I was very worried that I was going to hit a pointy rock and pop a tire at Some point. If I remember correctly, I believe that it actually brought me out pretty close to the casino in Murphy.

Thanks. I have driven the Forest Road from Two Crows Alpacas Farm to Bald River Falls, not realizing it was unpaved & narrow, but was a nice drive. I just thought it was somewhere closer to Murphy, since it started that video.

@Trig Soleil yeah instead of going the way that I normally do I decided to take a detour. My what a long detour it was, lol.
