I really loved you video, and it reminded me of the September 19 earthquakes of mexico city, which were really strong with multiple deaths even that all happened the same day september 19 but in 3 different years, 1985, 2017 and 2022

I find it hard to imagine that there are people in this world who willingly choose to drink soda water when beer is a thing. It just goes to show how varied we are.

Oklahoman here, I think Will Rogers made the best quote about the weather. "If you don’t like the weather in Oklahoma, wait a minute and it’ll change.” I've stepped foot in the bank where the 2013 tornado went through, and was lucky enough to interview the security guard who had to help hold the vault shut that day. It's harrowing and terrifying to say the least. Thank you for the effort and great content Emp!

I'm from Tulsa. Broken Arrow actually, it's a suburb of Tulsa just like how Moore is to OKC. My Cousin survived the tornado back in 2013. And I've seen all manner of Tornado outbreaks and aftermaths. When I became an EMT, I took my Emergency Vehicle Driver course on an empty lot in Stroud that was once a strip mall before it was entirely destroyed by the 99 outbreak. And my first real station was in Barnsdall, which has recently been devastated by 2 major tornados in the past few months. The scars of tornados are everywhere in Oklahoma. No matter where you go or who you talk to, the dark shadow of natural disaster is ingrained into the very fiber of our beings. But we just don't give a fuck. Every time a tornado touches down in Oklahoma, we all go outside hoping to catch a glimpse of it. Just daring the fucking thing to come hit us. That is what I love about my state. You can't kill Oklahoma. You can only bruise it a little. Dust storms can take over the panhandle like in the dust bowl. We can be bombed like in 95, take out our power and roads with ice storms like in 07, batter us with Tornados and floods to the point that April and May are one big game of Russian Roulette for us, or pump our streets full of Fentanyl, but it won't make a difference. Oklahoma will remain.

The greatest support for Mallory and Irvine's summit was that they died on the way down. It was Mallory's last attempt, he knew that. He wasn't going to give up. Like so many today, they both gave absolutely everything to get to the summit and perished on the descent. Summit Fever is real. I think they did it. None of that detracts from Hillary and Tensing's colossal achievement almost 30 years later - they survived so they should be in the record books as the first successful summit (that is - ascent and descent - you need both) Props to them all. They were all pioneers and worthy of respect.

Bayer Leverkusen almost did a "perfect" season (counting draws in soccer), they were undefeated in every competition they played this season (championship, cup and european league), after 51 wins and a 0 loss championship win, they lost to Atalanta in Europa League final today, not only they lost the tournament, but the streak with only 2 games remaining and a ticket to perfectville.

Ironically the film in the camera is probably in better shape than 100 year old film just sitting on a shelf so long as no moisture got into the film compartment. Putting film in the freezer makes it last much longer than if it were stored at room temp.

I was 6 during the 2013 tornados. Me and my sister were huddled under a blanket in the backseat. Occasionally we would look out the back window and see a stop sign being plucked from the ground. Those sirens make me freak out.
