If there's one thing I've learned about being an adult, it is this: there's always another project. Over the years, I've tackled a ton of projects and built some cool stuff, and now I'd like to help people who have similar problems.
My channel primarily covers woodworking and home improvement projects (anything from carpentry, plumbing, electrical, remodeling, to renovating). I'll throw in other miscellaneous projects as they come up, so don't be surprised to see videos on photography, home brewing, blacksmithing, and travel. I have a wide range of interests and love showing others what I've done.
If you're interested in learning how to build, fix, update, or otherwise positively change things, you've come to the right place.

How would you replace bottom leg? A guy was throwing away 6 wrought iron chairs some are rusted, corroded out and some completely missing base/bottom. I can't send pictures
VERY NICE WORK MATE
You'd have to get the cutting measurements JUST RIGHT in order to make this all work. Otherwise it would end up becoming a waste of an entire section of wood. But seems like you did a flawless job at that; everything slid in perfectly. All that I would add (for me personally anyway) are those pretty outdoor hanging lights to be strung at the top and around. But otherwise, this was a very masterful work. Awesome job!
Love this post! Beautiful work and the Sawsall is a great idea!
Thanks Michael!
Nice job
Clean vid for a novice like me you made this project super simple to understand and follow thank you! Well earned 👍
Thanks Donn!
It’s actually impressive how all the notches just fit. If I were to do it, especially on the second layer of crossmembers, I would have not been able to notch them on the ground and just lay them on so confidently. Great video.
Thank you!
Damn he's fast
Yessir
After all the work that takes, I'll just let the wires hang. I'm not watching wires, I'm watching TV....
🤣
Will 16g work?
You can't get 15 amps from 16ga wire
@@GlennFrazeeYT I have completed my task! I will find a way to put up pictures! You need to see what you helped me do! I have electricity to my electric fence and will be have to have light in my coop as well!
@@GlennFrazeeYT also... I now know how to make it better... 14g from now on! I will probably rebuild it in the fall!
Great video but this isn't an excel tutorial. Just show the data!!!
You're welcome to skip that part
This was a banging video! I can see what i need to do and it was SO well explained!
Glad it was helpful!
😂 it will continue to happen , buy the 2 yrs gurantee and then after those 2 yrs renew it and so
Lesson learned
Is it better Tha glass finish polycarbonate sheet?
Depends on what you want
Bear feet and soldering, manly.
You bet 👍
Good job
Thanks!
Will this method be a problem if the wall is insulated?
Insulation makes it a bit trickier, but doable. This wall was insulated.
If I dug a hole and filled it with stones on bottom then cement 3meter hole. Would that work for the 4 standing support beams Or would putting the post in the ground 2meter then filling with cement be better ?
I usually prefer not to embed posts in the ground
Excellent video. No dumb ass background music! Have you thought about dust collection?
In the works
Hey, where did you buy the T track. I have 3 feet x 6 feet long polycarbonate and ai cant find where to buy T track
It came as a kit
Sir, your video to fast i can't praktice at my home
🤷
First, I find the pergola, now the roof! Nice, just nice! Thanks, well done! 🌿💙
Thank you!
This was just well done and exactly what inwas looking for, thank you! Hope I can do it justice like you did! 🌿💙
Best of luck!
Too bad the wood would cost more than a desk with a drawer or two.
How do you figure?
Is that how you're supposed to hold the wood? Your hand is so close to the blade. Are you left handed, maybe?
Nope. Works just fine if you know what you're doing
As soon as you raise the blade, that belt is hitting that mdf.... but you already found that out.
Yep
I have the same/similar saw and it's on a steel box, unlike wood like yours. I dont really want to cut into it, sort of sentimental to me, but you gave me some great ideas!
Good to hear 👍
Would that work with a GFI receptacle?
Very good tutorial. Thanks for the tip about cutting the groove for the flat head screwdriver.
Glad it was helpful!
How do you determine edging height between 6 -18" ? Type of soil determines depth of insertion?
The 6" is for a typical installation. Taller edging would be if you want to do a raised bed.
while wearing moccasins too, that's some ultimate dad stuff right there
Couple years too early, but yep 👍
Great job buddy 👏🏼
Thanks Oliver!
Thank you for the inputs !! I'm about to start a proyect like yours and I hope to get it as nice as yours .
Glad it was helpful!
YOU'RE A BEAST, GREAT CARPENTRY SKILLS, I'M BUILDING MY PERGOLA BUT IT'S A PLUG AND PLAY TYPE, NO FANCY WOOD WORK. AMAZON SELLS BRACKETS FOR IT, I MADE IT A HABIT TO SIT IN MY BACKYARD PATIO EVERYDAY FOR ATLEAST AN HOUR. GLAD YOU DO IT TOO
Thank you!
DO YOU GET STRESS CRACKS IN THE WOOD? FISSURES
Cracks only due to drying
@@GlennFrazeeYT YEA I REPAIRED MINE WITH WOOD FILLER IS DRIED WOOD BAD ?
beautiful, but the cost of timber at the moment is just too high
Lumber futures are really no higher now than pre-pandemic. Adjusting for inflation, prices are probably about the same
@@GlennFrazeeYT im in uk and i can assure you they are
My new sink doesn’t have holes to put the faucet in. Would someone be able to cut holes into the plastic?
You can do it with a regular wood drill bit
I added 5" of celluose with vents to my 1060 sq ft house two years ago by a local contractor (Minnesota) for a total of $1,200.
👍
The key never came off the shaft when I removed the old impeller. Seems stuck pretty good and given amount of rust on the shaft not surprised. Would you just leave it and put the other one on or get the key off first? I’m afraid to get it off I may do some damage to it or the shaft.
If the key is the correct size for the new impeller, just leave it on
Thanks. I did lightly slide it over it and seemed to fit. It is the Wen impeller not the Rikon and no one has said to replace it only to not lose it. I will add some lithium grease and roll with it. Thanks for the reply
How did this work for you? DId it keep the grass out of the beds? I already have a paver edge and got some steel edging I am going to pound in along the edge of the pavers, pretty much all the way into the yard. Only purpose is to reduce/block/stop the grass from growing in between the pavers and into the bedding. I got 3"
It does stop the grass ingress pretty well
Well done! Good method . . . I am a perfectionist and when we bought our house the two mirrors over the sinks in the double vanity were not level with each other. One was about 8 milimetres higher than the other and it made me crazy. It was the first thin I fixed. Now, much like Amish's comment, my OCD is such that I've now three times, put in a hanger for a powder room mirror, didn't like the placement, three times mudded, sanded, painted the holes, and am now hanging the mirror a fourth time. If something is worth doing, it is worth doing right, otherwise it will drive me nuts for ever.
👍
Why do you need extra wood strip for I don’t understand
It makes a slope for drainage
Did you find it cheaper than commercially available cor ten at the steel supply? Tia
Yes, that's why I did all this
wanted to put up a twin wall polycarb roof over the hot tub portion of my deck. Three 4x12 10 mm panels would cost me $315. The killer was the shipping costs at $685. Why would anyone buy a product where the shipping charges are more than double the cost of the product being purchased?
That is a bit much
Where's the trench for the sump pump pump drainage hose?
No trench, there's a buried pipe
Only if you completely airseal the living space from the attic is the insulation effective. Don't need a ten minute video to explain that.
Neglecting to air seal won't negate the benefit of the added insulation, but I agree it's not as effective
@@GlennFrazeeYT it will when you have fiberglass bats, they let air through like crazy.
Very very helpful. 👍🏻
Glad it was helpful!
Can you use corrugated roofing too
Yes
I had a certified plumber change the laundry faucet and replace the metal water pipes with some type of plastic tubing that had a joint that look like it was held together by clamps I'm in a worse position now because if that breaks water is going to squirt everywhere previously the faucet was simply leaking
Probably PEX. Nothing wrong with that, it's a good plumbing material if installed correctly.
I like men that know how to do stuff
