That’s an awesome build, I still have my original F40 which is in perfect running order, I bought it in 88/89 I think from the model show in Olympia, this video makes me want to add a few more details and tweak it to run better. Excellent work. Do you ever sell any of your projects or take on custom work for other people?
@SwiftSlots4 күн бұрын
I do not sell my KZread projects and I have been asked to take on projects, but sadly people don't understand time is money, and there is a lot of time in custom hand work. eg, this car took me 2 days to do, so that's two whole days of labour. People never ask them selfs 'how much do I earn in two days, would Rob want to work for me for less?' So I would be interested in doing small quick jobs, but it would have to be worth my time.

I have lots of unboxed slot cars and I really want to get boxes for them but I can’t find anywhere where I can get them. Where do you get your and what do you use to make the background ??

I did put out a shout out on a slot forum, but got nothing back, so I now buy my boxes from a large slot car retailer. It makes a refreshing change from all the intricate and busy liveries we find with today's GT3s and allows us to focus more on the shape and lines of the model. I wouldn't have the focus or potential to see what you have seen in this project but I am nevertheless a huge fan of what you can do for this fun little hobby.
