    Maybe an idea to use drones for CBRN defence, to detect radiation, chemical and biological threat It is important to have a good payload and fly time Now armies use for this purpose light armoured vehicles, but the war in Ukraine shows that they are very vulnerable and easy targets, but they are expensive But this field is not very popular

    I literally tried doing what you are trying, just over a year ago. I got in contact with some Ukrainians and it basically went nowhere. Why? Well, about 3 months after I began my work the first pictures of cheap fixed wing long range drones operated by Ukraine began hitting the web. They probably started shortly after the war stabilized. War is a brutal incentive for good design and fast development. There are people with actual frontline experience working on this issue. People who started out with years of experience in model aircraft and drones. You better have a really bloody good idea before even bothering going in there. What this guy gave you is the absolute minimal basis for any company. Not one in a competitive field currently flooded with companies having good ideas, expert knowledge and also basic funding already covered. You seem to have some talent in 3D stuff, why not focus on that? Instead of building a drone, make the KSP of drones. You already have all the tech in front of you. Combine it. You need to think outside the box, because with your lack of experience this is a deadend.

Took me 15 years to overcome the outcome and now I'm finally where I could've been then. I am deeply impressed by your attitude and willingness to learn. I'm merely telling you that people with deep and intimate knowledge of the technology you're merely exploring for the first time, people being backed with millions of dollars and well connected in the industry to boot are already way past what you are even imagining. Which is OK, you weren't at that point in your life when that ship sailed, but there's no point running off an empty pier. You're doing great, you just need to change your product. No, agriculture isn't the aim. If anything that's an even more cut-throat business than military applications. There's a reason no one succeeded with a drone startup. No one actually needs a drone to deliver goods to Gaza. The best and cheapest drone even imaginable right now still miserably fails in cost to carrying capacity against a 40 year old truck. Do you have more money than Jeff Bezos? He tried making this happen, and he already had a company doing delivery to customers. There is no market, you have no product and you don't even have a problem to solve. Find one, solve it, go to market. If you have to go defensive about feedback like this you would not want to meet an actual investor. When you tell someone you need half a million from them you better got your big boy pants on.

    I know people try and people fail. I know people know more than me in this field. Yet when a field is interesting, when being inspired by an infinite source of ambition and willingness to learn and compete, I am of the opinion that is possible. I don’t think I can compete to the competence of the people in the field, not right now. But you need to start somewhere. Honestly how do you think people know so much? Certainly not by giving up with the idea of it. Certainly not by expecting themselves to be smarter than others within 4 months of learning a complex topic and industry. That is unrealistic and that is not what I think nor expect of myself. I’m merely bringing people together that do have the knowledge and skills to do something great. Combining the knowledge and skills I do have with marketing/ social media exposure and the knowledge I have about business. Surely agriculture might not be the aim. And I agree I need to find a market and solution first. So that’s what we’re doing right now. That’s why I asked if you even watched the video, because I was asking for suggestions on markets to tap into and I was brainstorming about it for basically the same reasons you just gave me. Do you have suggestions? Also, I am not trying to be defensive without reasoning. I disagree to some of your points, so I’m telling you that and why. I Had two ideas for a drone in a swarm . First is basic fighter drones meant to do similar roles to dog fighting and ground assault by adding basic weapons like a pistol into the body of wings but modular enough to use a wide array of pistols be it size, power, ammo count and more, and retains shell castings with explosive inside so to work as last resort harassing ground troops and other enemy drones and if this drone can crash into enemies drone without damaging what's inside would be useful. Second drone is actually based off WW2 Stratofortress bombers and like, as sort of Ariel battleship of sorts with fully AI or semi gun turrets act as heavy muscle to first drone suggestions gunning down ground targets or other flyers, similar role to A-10 and C-130 roles, designed to fire larger caliber ammo but just as modular for different ammo types and weapons used inside as well acting as signal booster to other drones. Both drones are designed to be cheap but reliable enough to do a job and if possible 3D printable, the idea is not just for the big militarys but for situations like the Ukrainian Russian war to rapidly produce and when destroyed to be recycled to build more drones. And if possible easily build, like a simple puzzle a 5 year old can assemble

    I know in a previous video you mentioned making a drone cheaper, but that in itself doesn't mean much or achieve much. And cheaper than what exactly? What is the ultimate goal of your project? What are you trying to achieve exactly? Also, you want people to join your team and work for free (for your benefit essentially), but if your project ever makes money, do you plan to reimburse them for their time and effort?

  • @NaeviusUAV
    @NaeviusUAV22 күн бұрын

    Making a drone cheaper (aiming for 5k usd compared to 10k-25k for comparable drones) has a lot of benefits. Especially when making a drone swarm. Some people can’t afford the expensive options and don’t mind slightly less quality. And when used in a war zone shooting it down would probably cost more than the drone itself, giving strategic benefits in either case. My goal is to make a modular, affordable UAV where you only pay for what you really need. Need more in the future? Then you can just buy an attachment for that and it will fit all models. It needs to have a fairly long range and a big payload capability. The volunteers usually have benefit to it themselves as well. Think of experience when they are still studying, wanting to help people, wanting to feel more useful, it being people’s hobby, and getting exposure / shoutouts. I do not plan to reimburse people, and the volunteers are aware of this as we have a contract sort of that mentions all of these things. I promise nothing, though when financially possible I would love to hire some of the skilled and determined people.

    @@NaeviusUAV I like what you are doing but do not say that getting exposure / shoutouts or the need to feel more useful are a valid recourse for people who are putting hundreds of hours into your project. Oh look who said my name in a video. What if you fall out with that person? Will you take their name off of the work they put into this? I'm just saying have a crystal clear contract with everything laid out. If this business starts to make money at the moment the only person benefiting from any of their work is you.

  • @NaeviusUAV
    @NaeviusUAV21 күн бұрын

    @@joshbracken5450 i do not decide weather people volunteer or not? It is their own choice and if they continue to do so, then one of the reasons is exposure which is what a lot of volunteers have told me personally. In fact, all of the times I ask them why they volunteer, 9/10 times they say because of the exposure. Yes the only person that benefits financially is me, but without me nobody would benefit. Because I’m bringing them together. And as I mentioned, people will be hired when financially possible.

  • @joshbracken5450
    @joshbracken545021 күн бұрын

    @@NaeviusUAV People can choose to do what they want. It's just a little different in this case. You want to financially benefit from all of their work. You better be aware of all of the possible legal wranglings that might pop up in the future. You didn't answer my point about the possibility of you falling out with someone and their work not being credited. What happens if someone designs a vital part of your modular system that makes it's way into future projects? They get nothing? Also come on man, 9/10 are not putting all their time into this for exposure, that is just silly. You should get a crystal clear contract that people have to sign. To protect them and you. You’re having a similar issue to thrive, when thrive was in its early stages everyone was just dreaming about what this game could be and at some point topics like underwater civilisations got banned because of it. Eventually they solved it by turning the project from volunteer only to a non profit organisation that’s officially registered and has some part time employees funded by donations. It might be a good idea if you converge on the same solution, making Naevius an official company and having some part time employees, maybe collage students trying to earn some money or other people that at least know what they are doing and paying them a salary based off donations. Once you start selling these drones you could then switch up to a more standard buisness model of course, but as a starter it might be the smartest choice. You might already have done all this and I'm just being stupid but incase not, theres some advice for you there. Good luck on your project, I might join for marketing once I'm done with some of the more urgent irl stuff :))
