I was just quietly sitting watching this when at 2:14 I was like "HIGH SCHOOL?!!" 😂😂 God, no wonder I felt like everyone was so shrimpy by the time I got to highschool in the early 80's having grown up watching "high schoolers" thoughout the 70's! 😆

To all those commenting about how David Cassidy was irreplaceable, I DO agree WHOLEHEARTEDLY (I was a HUUUUUGE David Cassidy fan for years back then!! ❤ ), BUT you obviously missed the “fun fact” that appeared in the beginning credits, that it was DAVID HIMSELF who PRODUCED this crappola… 🤦🏽♀️

Oh my gosh… No wonder it only lasted one EPISODE. 🙁 I can see it being a spoof movie, but not a tv series… certainly not for young kids, with that language and talk about drugs… WHAT in the world was David Cassidy - the producer of this pilot - and the original attractive and sweetly charming Keith Partridge character from the tv show back in the early ‘79s - thinking? As an ardent fan of the original when I was 10-13 years old, this version is so lame and full of over acting. I only laughed once. The rest of the time was cringe. Foul language and outrageous violent behaviour on the part of the Reuben Kinkaid character was shocking and frankly stupid. Of course, for an old fan like me, it was fun seeing Danny Bonaduce at the end - the original Danny Partridge - portraying the new “Mr. Partridge”, but making him gay was just such an obvious attempt to get the gay community on board. Oh well…. Best to leave treasures from the past be.

So, I learned of the existence of this show today and just in the first five minutes I had to ask, why is the role of Danny, the narrator, given to an actor who lisps? It's not cute. Anyway, it's also true that "Emily" Stone is the only one who can act out of the entire cast with the possible exception of the guy who plays Reuben Kincaid. It's nearly worth it just to watch her.
