so most of the people sane enough keep calling twitter twitter; from an economic standpoint it was completely unreasonable to throw away such a valueable brand name and replace it with something so generic that one cannot properly reference it... for example when you try to look up a tweet by using a search engine; also Musk recently needed to tell people that he was deadnamign his child so... another reason for the LGBTIQA+ communities to deadname his platform

Episode 4 will blow you away. All the episodes finish happily because the 50s-60s sitcoms all ended in a good place despite the awkwardness and miscommunication that made up the bulk of every episode of every sitcom. Also, the opening credit was Bewitched Themed for Episode 2: Their bedroom set (separate beds) was modeled after my favorite sitcom of all time (and the BEST sitcom of all time)- The Dick Van Dyke Show- which I know you know by now- is also Wanda's favorite sitcom. TV couples didn't start sleeping in the same bed til The Brady Bunch (Episode 3) in the 1970s. Episode 3's house set was modeled after The Brady Bunch. Mike Brady was an architect. "Cheer Up Sleepy Jean- Day Dream Believer, by Davy Jones (the song playing as Monica is thrown out of Wanda's Anamoly, is an honorable ode to Marcia, Marcia, Marcia, and The Brady Bunch. Can't wait to see how you reacted to Episode 4.

I picked up on a few subtleties when I first watched this episode. The strange way the doctor talked about not being able to "escape". That was a choice word to use. When Wanda remembered her brother, her accent came back when she started singing a Sokovian lullaby to the twins. Once Wanda was distracted with remembering a real moment, Geraldine looked like she was coming out of a haze and was trying to re-focus her mind. That's when she spoke, and mentioned Thanos, as if trying to remember that detail. Fun facts: it wasn't until the mid 60's that married couples were shown in the same beds together on TV. If they were, there had to be one foot on the floor. Example are in the old black and white shows from the 50's and early 60's. In the 60's technicolor was introduced to TV, so this is why at the end of episode 2 and then all of episode 3 were in color. Black people started to be featured on shows but only a token or 2. So Geraldine showing up in episode 2 was a clue of the times. The line where she says to Wanda, "Wow. I really like your pants. They're peachy keen." And the line Agnes responded to her before meeting up with Dottie...Wanda: What is it? Is it the way that I'm dressed?" And Agnes responded "Yes, but it's too late for that". Women were now wearing pants as casual wear, for the first time. It was a very big deal in pop culture history. Fashion design houses went nuts with designs. This episode was in the 70's, hints: Bell Bottom pants, Afros, long side burns and plaid business suits, which were all at the intro theme opening. Each episode the set design changed to reflect the most popular shows of that time period. Once you've gotten further (at least on your KZread posts), I'll list those parts of the sets that were added to the show, especially with the opener themes...just in case you have viewers who did not watch the show before your reaction. A huge trope that lasted several decades of TV, was the hiding real pregnancies on the show with items like bags, pillows, "fruit platter", blanket, etc... Everyone else is supposed to look past it like they can't see the weight gain and swollen mid section, or the sudden trip the female character has to go on for a while, because the actress had to give birth and take time off. So, the audience (us) understands the ridiculousness of it, because the show was cleverly reminding us of how it used to be in those eras of tv. I'm excited to watch your reaction to the next episode. This show is like a mystery show with peeling back layers upon layers of info each new episode. It pulls you in and is SOO good. I love the idea of Phase 4 focusing on side characters that we didn't really get too much time with in the first 3 phases. People hated on phase 4 but I think they missed the point of it. The heroes just went through several major fights...especially the big one with Thanos. Some of them blipped and missed 5 yrs of their lives. Phase 4 is about dealing with the aftermath of their traumas and bringing a more down to earth look at them as people and not just heroes. I think it was an appropriate time for it, because the real world was just put on pandemic lock down and going through anxiety, sickness, Cabin fever, death and despair. This show is one of the many that got people distracted in a good way, and helped them connect again thru media outlets everywhere. And I think it was a smart idea on Disney + to post them weekly instead of all at once. It gave people something exciting and fun to look forward to the next week, like good tv used to do.

The things Wanda does to "hide" her pregnancy are the silly tricks shows used to use to "hide" an actress's pregnancy--standing behind couches, holding fruit, big old coats... it's the greatest hits of silly camouflage. And of course, no one in the shows ever noticed a thing.

Great reaction as always! You nailed it when you said that everyone’s flaws are on full display. This ep did a great job of highlighting everyone’s weaknesses and how everything can spiral if they don’t improve as a team. Ebra wouldn’t stop reading the article when asked, Tina brought her son unexpectedly (otherwise did great), Marcus got lost in dessert land, Syd cracked under chaos she’s not used to (also doesn’t own up to the preorder or stabbing), Carm’s temper and impatience were unleashed. Richie was the calmest one, thriving in the chaos, but still being Richie and antagonizing Syd in the process.

Carmy wasn’t being completely reasonable; there was no conceivable way to accomplish the task at hand. Part of leadership is to recognize that and adjust accordingly rather than just yelling expletives at the top of your lungs. Mistakes happen, mitigating them is part of his responsibility. As for Sydney wanting authority, I remember her making it clear with Carmy that she wasn’t looking to have a position of authority back in episode three. She had an experience with it and she realized she wasn’t equipped for it. Sydney made an awful mistake, however, the directions that followed just compounded that error. As I said, everyone’s flaws were on full display in this episode.

So many gems in this movie but my favorite part is the story about the young fish - he is looking for "the ocean" because the idea of the ocean sounds so grand. But when you're actually in the ocean.... it's just water. Joe thinks he's not living his dream but what he claims to be in love with is playing music. As a music teacher, he does play music - every, single day. Yet he's unfulfilled because "middle school music teacher" doesn't sound grand. But it is literally his dream - he is a professioinal, full-time musician. He just doesn't appreciate it.
