Scale Model Shed

Scale Model Shed

Hi. I'm Andy and welcome to the Scale Model Shed. I took up scale modelling in 2019, converting my shed to a small studio.

I now own Scale Model Shed hobby shop in Somerset, UK. You can order from us online, just click on the SHOP link below.

Most of my videos will be aircraft, armour and the occasional ship from all eras. I model for fun, I don't count rivets and for sure I make mistakes! I hope you find the videos interesting and it would be great if you subscribe. Also please feel free to come in and meet me at the shop in Somerset, UK, TA19 9DU. 5 mins from the A303 and 15mins from the M5.

Thanks for reading and happy modelling!

Andy

Looking to move away from vallejo model air as it doesnt work with my h&s evo 2024. Do you have a preference between tamiya, mr hobby or ak or do they all work well? And do they all need their own brand thinners? Do you suffer from tip dry from any of thewe brands as vallejo clogs and dries after about 5 seconds. Very frustrating.

Fantastic if I may say so - I especially like that it isn't overdone with the detailing of either the vehicle or the base that some modellers tend to do, but the only impression I get from those is 'it's overdone'. The one thing I would like to add would be a couple of figures - any scenic base benefits from upgrading it like that, especially since this scenic base is comparatively large in relation with the vehicle.

Damn, that's some meticulous work. When I built model planes as a kid I just quickly glued everything together and slapped on Luftwaffe stickers. Also on the Spitfires, because I thought the RAF stickers were lame!

Wonderful model. Having worked on the real thing and built the full size flying replica's. That's a great job. Not to be a ball buster. Gear down and parked the automatic leading edge slats would be down. I know the model makers did not mold them in the wings to be out, I will guess? Love the detail Jumo 004's and cockpit. Gun sight a Rev 16?

That kit would have fried my brain if I tried to build it. I laughed aloud at your pinging plastic mishap I’ve done that so many times, lost so many small parts. Excellent build mate.. looks fantastic. Thanks for sharing

That looks really good and the diorama sets it off well. The kit, with its level of detail and build complexity has many features of Miniart kits. I wonder if Thunder models and Miniart are linked in any way.
