RFM 1/35 Sherman M4A3 76W w/full interior. Full build video part 2. Kit #5042.
Hi KZread,
First I would like to say thank you to everyone who has subscribed to the channel, topping 10k subscribers with only 5 videos up beats any of my expectations.
This is the second and final part of my build of RFM's Sherman with interior. I don't build many tanks, so I went into this build a little in the dark. In the video I will show you how I painted and weathered the model. I will largely be using enamel products for the weathering. Showing you some techniques using AK Interactive, Ammo by Mig, Mr Hobby, Tamiya, Vallejo, Abteilung and VMS products.
I have further plans for this model, firstly I'm going to fit the aerial I that isn't on the model, I only realised this after I finished the video! Then, I've only ever built one diorama, so I'm going to push myself to build one for this, possibly with Tamiya M26 model I have in the Shed, maybe even incorporating a Freis Kran I have or maybe I'll just do a small vignette. But that's for the future.
Thanks for watching.

Just thought I would mention that US olive drab tanks were Olive drab through all paint layers, so chipping would have to be darker layers of Olive drab colours, and not lighter colours.

I've been scale modeling for many years and I'm still amazed at just how life like you get your models. Thanks for sharing all your amazing techniques. I'm not even close to being at your level yet, even with all the experience. One day I'll get it right. Till then I'll keep watching and learning. l hate to even admit that after 15 years I just now purchased my first airbrush. I've been hand painting all this time. I'm quite good at it but I finally admitted to myself that I'll never move to the next level without one. The things you can accomplish with an airbrush you just can't do with a brush. No matter how good your technique is. Thanks again and keep em coming.

Former armored vehicle crewman here. I love your work and videos. The tracks are perfect as are the tools. One really small nit pick for the future though. The tops of the road wheels where they make contact with the tracks would be somewhat cleaner (blacker). The sides of the road wheels even the black rubber part could be really muddy and crusty, but the top would be pretty clean looking.

Ok I know this was one year ago and this is literally the first time I leave a comment on a KZread video : first of all, amazing job! I never thought scale modelling could be so fascinating! Second, I came here to find inspiration in order to complete my project of 3d modelling a modified version of this tank in maya software and you have no idea how much This video helps me, not only for the modelling part but also for the texturing part and even the painting part in photoshop! I’ll be sure to remember some of your painting tips and try applying them to my digital art. Thanks :)

Great build but one tip -US tanks didn't chip. I was very surprised when I found it. The painted tanks were "baked" in special chambers to speed up the drying process and production. Look at some reference photos of even destroyed shermans to see how the paint acted to damages :)

I've watched hpiguys, plasmo, andy'shobbyhq, ect and I love their work and enjoy creativity but this model is something with a degree of detail that I've never seen. I was looking to build a new Sherman model kit and came across your video. I'm so impressed with the kit but the full potential you showed me of how far skill and desire for this hobby can go, I think words can't fully describe how amazing your work is. I hope to see more of your videos, this is by far the most impressive thing I've seen on KZread yet. Happy modeling :)

Great build and outstanding detailing! I have some nitpicky suggestions. Given the wear and tear indicated by the grime, etc., the seat cushions for the crew should show some wrinkling / staining / compression welts that would occur after hard use. Some of the roadwheels should show some chunking or irregularities as a result of churning through mud/rocks. Some of teeth on the drive sprockets should show some bare metal as would occur with the metal on metal contact with the tracks. One nice touch would be the addition of a few brown streaks on the forward glacis as would be left behind by driving through underbrush. One last bit: the fender edges look a little too pristine and should show some wear and tear with maybe the odd bend. Looking forward to the diorama! Please don't think I do not appreciate how much skill and effort you have displayed, this was an awesome build!
