What in the world is this student doing? Looks like complete panic and 0 freefall preparation. Ugh. I'm so glad the instructor grabbed a hold of the bridle.

That was clogged by them so they could do a video. A beaver would not have used a 2 x 4.

well done but if you allow the waters force to push that debris through you wont have to work so hard. Not as much lifting the stuff out of the water. Work from the pipe. Its your friend. like they said Post10 would be proud of ya

Those culverts need cone-shaped screens over the high end to divert the debris away from the opening!

Lots of water, fun to watch. However, 1) the two screens weren't in sync. 2) no opening pan shot of the pond you were draining from. 3) no pan shot of the pond you were draining into. 4) no final shot of the emptied pond. Gotta give context and provide a beginning, middle and end. Post 10 always gives a shout to help him sync the videos.

If none of the student's parachutes worked, would it be possible for the instructor to carry him to the ground, on his parachute alone? It must be.

I know exactly what you're dealing with. We have farmland a couple of counties east of you. Beautiful land. Great for farming. Plenty of water and creeks. Beavers constantly damming the creeks.

bad video, also why not clear all the blockage by putting the big stuff on the bank and let pipe open all the way. you only cleared about a 12 inch path, so why bother?

Simply amazing how much water was being held back by just sticks and mud. Wasn't all that long ago that you tore that same dam out. That was a lot of work, a lot of work. Stay safe out there.

if you drained it by 1,5 meter and the average width of the creek is just under 21 meter..... then it drained about 100 million liters of water. That sir, indeed is a lot to drain.
