A debris fence should be installed around that drain. That is very dangerous to have an open pipe that size that is large enough for a kid to fall into.

@@gerardogarcia6201 But then they're going to blame you and you really shouldn't be complicit in such a serious and dangerous situation. You'll be left with the blame.

That is a scary drain.

You need to use something stronger than PVC pipe for prying or something heavier that can be used to ram down into the pipe to break up the stick so they will move on through the pipe.

I was trying it out since i was able to bend it. That exit drain goes 5 feet down then does a 90 under the road .

I would think a drain like that would clog often. Wouldn’t it benefit with a screen cage? Plus here that would be considered a safety issue

Would have been nice to see what it was that you were draining. It wasn't a parking lot, nor did it look like a street. So what was it?

I get it, your rake handle wasn't as long as the pipe. Good job.

To the negativing comments: SkydiverDude has been dealing with these specific Beavers for a while. This drain is a near constant battle. Don't judge him on this video alone. Look back in his archive and see what he has gone through before this week! It hasn't been fun.

Wouldn't a rake be much more efficient and quicker? A straight rake takes nothing away..... really!

@@jamestboehm6450Bit of a problem there as I am an amputee, no right leg and the other is pretty useless. I do subscribe to a number of drainage clearers and beaver dam removers and I don't think any of them would use a flimsy bit of plastic pipe to clear any blockage.

@@CLIVEUSUK well now, you being unable to do anything but criticize kind of leaves you at a bit of a short coming. My advice to you is either watch the video and keep your opinions to yourself or scroll on. Maybe post 10 is more your speed and you can feel like you're getting educated too.

@@jamestboehm6450Your statement insinuating that my physical disability prevents me from doing anything but criticize is, like your plastic pipe, a little flimsy. Being disabled does not prevent someone from recognising when the wrong tool is being used to do a job. I would also advise you to be careful when making insinuations about the capabilities of people with disabilities. I know many disabled people would be offended by your insinuation that they are only capable of critisising.
